Halbrand Maia.” She rolled the syllables around on her tongue. “Handyman extraordinaire,” she continued. “Always coming to my rescue. Well, who do you think shoved an entire lemon down the garbage disposal last time so you would come see me? And pried the facing plate off the microwave the time before that?”
