    Summary

Shane Hollander is the most sought-after goalie on the market in the 2015 offseason. The Bears are thrilled when they get the steal of the decade by signing him out from under Montreal. It’s even cooler that their captain is so close with Hollander. The two are like, best friends or platonic soulmates or something.

Alternatively: 5 times the Boston Bears should’ve guessed that Hollander and Rozanov were totally gay for each other + 1 time when everyone knew (Except Carmy).

"It was four," Hollander said thoughtlessly.

Brad’s head snapped to him. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw everyone else doing the same thing. He would think about this a lot afterward, mostly because of how much he enjoyed it. Hollander had said it flatly, automatically, the exact tone he used when Marleau got a save percentage wrong. He said it and then Brad watched his entire face catch up with his mouth about half a second later. It was, hands down, the single funniest thing Brad had witnessed all season.

"...How do you know?" said St-Simon.

“You don't particularly like art?” Jane asked delicately. It wouldn't do to irritate the man to the point that she'd have to walk the rest of the way, but such a dire pronouncement demanded some sort of response.

“Oh, I like the paintings just fine.” His voice dropped, muffled, almost too low for Jane to make out, but she thought she heard him add, “it's what comes after.”

It may be the off-season, but for all of us still hungry for Games-related goss, there’s plenty to go around in this week’s roundup: dreamy dresses, arena rumours, and of course, all your favourite victors making some…questionable choices as usual.

Jenna Paylor flips through the pages of the latest edition of the Panem Enquirer and groans. “This would feel a lot more serious if the key was something other than a tabloid.”

Enobaria is the closest thing Annie has to a friend among the surviving victors. She doesn’t know the Mockingjay, or Abernathy for that matter, and she likes Peeta well enough, but not enough to call them friends. Annie has respect for Beetee in the way that watching hours upon hours of the Games breeds into someone, but Annie had always preferred Wiress. And Johanna, while Annie knows her and loves her for what she was able to provide for Finnick when Annie wasn’t there to do it herself, was always just that—Finnick’s. Johanna was always Finnick’s friend before she was anything to Annie.

    Enobaria, though, Annie knew.

    Summary

Teacher Grace cried some more. Engineer Music-Suggesting-Foundations-of-Home was quite used to it doing this, and waited patiently for it to stop.

“It is Earth culture,” it confessed, even damper than before. “Males are not permitted to remove their own sperms. Only female humans may do that, and only to the males they own. I have never belonged to a female, so it is always painful for me.” Fluids gushed from its nose and mouth in a pitiful fashion.

    Bookmarker's Notes

“The thing is, I think it would be a case of malicious falsehood if we only let the first author of the trope write about viviparity. The first documented examples of viviparity of this kind in the romance genre are locally-made zines about the supposed relationship between Teacher Grace and Engineer Music-Suggesting-Foundations-of-Home. These are not written for profit and the authors typically use pseudonyms. Even if they are successfully identified, their names would be forever associated with such work if we took them to trial. Nobody would ever come forward.”

The creepier kind of fetish porn even called Teacher Grace a “he”, as though it were a shablul or a rolkesh, some kind of mindless livestock where the only important thing about it was how it reproduced and how well. Possibly that was erotic for some people, but Identifies-Discrepancy just found it de-eridianising. Or whatever word you might use for an alien, anyway.
