Mira and Zoey rapidly blinked the sting from their eyes and were shocked to find themselves not on the stage at Namsan Tower but on their private jet.
Their private jet that had crashed two weeks prior.
They tried to take in the scene around them, still a little disoriented from whatever the honmoon had done.
“Time for our pre-game ramyeon!” Rumi sounded so happy. Nothing like how she sounded below the stage of the Idol Awards.

Rumi has been standing in front of the wooden gate for approximately ten minutes now, listening to Mira and Zoey bicker inside her house. This is so stupid. She could just take the leaves from the oregano plant from within her reach. It's right there.
But Mira insisted that they had oregano inside and told Rumi to wait here. So she waits.
"Zoey, how did you rearrange the spice cabinet?!"
"By vibes!"
"What does that even mean?!"
Rumi hid her cough with her fist. She just needed one oregano leaf, not whatever these idiots were trying to give her.

In which Rumi doesn't know why her mothers keep asking her to ask for leaves from the new neighbors, but she does so anyway because she's a good daughter. Julia was dicing onions by the sink when Carmen entered the kitchen area. She was wearing one of Carmen's more worn-down sweaters, a pale blue one that hung loosely on Carmen and dwarfed Julia utterly, and her grey sleep flannel bottoms. It was a look that made Carmen want to close the blinds, lock the doors, and monopolize the sweet domesticity that Julia in those pajamas promised. For a moment, Carmen leaned against the doorframe and watched her. Like the thief she was, stealing this moment and vision for herself. She wanted to stay here all day, in Julia's house with Julia.
Usually, in the mornings, Carmen didn't bother tamping down her cuddly urges, but she does today.
It's complicated as to why.
