    Summary

Andrew has always been the one others look to for protection, for saving, for safety. He’s made his share of deals, wielded knives for others, fought battles that weren’t his to fight. Having someone else do the same for him, to want to do the same for him, is a disturbing and frightening prospect. But maybe, just maybe, it doesn’t have to be a bad thing.

Or: 5 times Andrew pushed away Neil’s protection + 1 time he asked for it

“There is one more thing. Given the nature of your fall and the force of impact, we ran a full battery of blood tests to check for any internal issues. Everything looks normal, except for one result that… stood out.”

    Shane’s stomach tightened. Stood out?

“Given your secondary gender presentation and hormone levels, we also ran a standard pregnancy panel,” she said, her words measured and clear. “And the test came back positive."

For a moment, the words didn’t land. They floated in the air like dust in the sunlight.

    Positive.

    Pregnancy panel.

Then, all at once, they crashed into him.

    Summary

Growing up, Ilya had learned that wanting things made him a burden. Shane had made it his personal mission to prove the exact opposite. So yes, technically Ilya could buy anything he wanted. But he rarely got the opportunity.
Because somehow, impossibly, Shane always got there first.

«A safe space, somewhere he could breathe. I know things didn’t end well between the two of you - but did they actually end at all? I’m not supposed to tell you this - I know I’m not - but he asked me to, so… I’m just trying so hard to be a good friend: when they asked him what he’d miss the most, he said ginger ale. Hollander - Shane, I have never seen my man Roz drink a ginger ale.»

The room spins around him at full speed and Shane needs to hold on to the kitchen counter not to fall flat on his face.

“That better just be ginger ale, rook.”
“There’s ginger ale in the fridge.”
    “Ginger ale cold enough?”

    Fuck, Rozanov.

    Summary

How did he let this happen?

    Shane's not sure.

One moment, he was on the gym floor not staring at Rozanov's gorgeous sweaty body. Then Shane was standing up, but his legs were weak for some god forsaken reason and Rozanov was there, just an arm around his waist to keep him upright, and now...

    Well.

Now Shane's on his knees on the floor of Ilya Rozanov's shower.

    Or

Heated Rivalry, but the boys are forced to have an honest conversation around 8 years earlier than they do in canon.
