Summary
Before any of the overblots... before Yuu crashed through a coffin... before any of our beloved first years even got their letters of acceptance... Riddle Rosehearts, Azul Ashengrotto, Jamil Viper, Ruggie Bucchi, Silver, and Jade and Floyd Leech all arrived for their very first year of school.
My interpretation of the events that led the relationships to where they are now! Focuses mostly on Riddle and Azul, however all will have their own major plotlines. Also includes some third year shenanigans, like why did Rook join Pomefiore after all..? Open to suggestions!

An International Guide to Writing Characters Who Smoke by QuinnAnderson

Summary
An American friend of mine recently asked me for some Brit-picking tips on differences in smoking language/culture between America and England to be used in her Sherlock fic. I thought I'd go ahead and write a guide, including my experiences in other countries and some writing tips for how to portray characters who smoke. Much of this comes from personal experience, and it's not intended to be encouragement to smoke. Rated Teen and Up for swearing and talk of underage smoking.

What was this attempt at ripping Azul out of his element?
Walking was fine, really, he liked to be able to move outside of water even if it was rather slow. He felt a kind of freedom, his tentacles couldn’t give him. With his legs, he could go wherever he liked, whenever he liked, and wasn’t dependent on the weather or the temperature.
But why would you want to skid over ice? On thin runners?!Series
