Summary
It’s a new arrangement, and one they haven’t actually talked about out loud. Obviously Buck couldn’t sleep on the couch right now - and Buck couldn’t seem to stand the idea of Eddie doing it either, so sharing the bed had been the unspoken compromise.
Buck hasn’t really said much about it, but it’s starting to become clear that he had some kind of dream in the coma that he hasn’t managed to shake off completely. Every time he wakes up now, Eddie can see the way his eyes seek out whoever else is in the room, the way they look for familiar landmarks that he can use to ground himself.
When Buck gets home from the hospital, he stays with the Diazes - and stays in Eddie's bed. Maybe Eddie isn't the only one getting comfort from it.

Summary
It takes Buck longer than it should to notice. Which - okay, sure, he’s oblivious about certain things even on the best of days, and he got struck by lightning less than a month ago, so maybe he should give himself a break. But still, it feels like something he should have noticed, so he ends up feeling pretty stupid for not noticing.
Since Buck woke up in the hospital, Eddie’s stopped touching him.
or - the one where eddie won't touch buck once he wakes up in the hospital, and buck goes absolutely bonkers bananas about it

Summary
Eddie still hadn’t spoke, the probability of him also forgetting to blink a few times he was so caught up in his own thoughts also likely, considering how his eyes stung as he blinked, observing the fact Buck had shifted upward in his bed, rolling his shoulders in a taut shrug — so fast, Eddie almost narrowly missed the small wince, a scrunch of his nose and a pinch on his features disappearing in a quick flicker, he had made when he rolled his left, the side with the Lichtenberg figures marked on it, though they’d probably fade away soon; keyword almost.
Buck’s light lashes flutter against his cheeks as he brings a hand to rub at the back of his head idly, whispering underneath his breath in a hushed tone. “No promises.”
or
Eddie finally talks to Buck before he gets discharged from the hospital, and making Buck promise to at least attempt to be less reckless is all he needs to convey just how he feels.
