Sokka discovers he is a fir- a firebend--a--well, he's not gonna say it, but its a problem. Katara and Aang rush him to the Fire Nation, where Aang volunteers Zuko to train Sokka so he doesn't accidentally melt half of the South Pole when (if) he goes home. Sokka doesn't think he can ever face his family again. He really doesn't want anything to do with firebending, but he learns quickly it has the potential to be a powerful tool when faced with some unexpected challenges. If he'll ever come to terms with his complicated relationship with fire is another question, but there might be someone around who has some answers for him there.

Luke and Leia have inherited their mother's idealism and their father's recklessness. This family is going to change the galaxy one way or another. “Duh,” Steve says. “What, do you think I’m a bad son or something?”
“No, not her,” Dustin says. “I’m talking about your bio mom. Your dad’s sister.”
“Oh.” Steve’s quiet for a moment, but—well. Yes, he does know her birthday, too. “Her birthday—it was, um. March nineteenth, I think. That’s what my dad said.”
Dustin puts his hand on the handle. Steve stands up from the desk and Robin gets up, too.
He presses down. There’s no air in the room as the safe opens.
“Honestly? I can’t believe that worked,” Dustin says, and Steve can’t help the desperate giggle that bubbles up inside of him, even as Dustin pulls out the first folder—a manila green file tab, with the neat label on the side reading out “HAWKINS NATIONAL LABORATORY."

(( If Sokka was being honest, the man interested him. He was surly and shut off, Sokka had never known him to have guests in the year he’d lived next door, but he tended to the plants on his balcony with tenderness and he sang indie love songs alone in his kitchen. Despite his hard edges and dour expressions, there was a softness to him too.
And, well, there was the matter of the scar. It took up half his face, spread over his browbone and across his left eye. Sokka wondered if he was in some kind of accident. Maybe he was a firefighter. Or a secret agent. Or the survivor of a house fire. Sokka wouldn’t ask, of course, but maybe if they became friends, he’d be allowed to know. ))
