Summary
The sight of dark and stylishly tousled hair —hat-less for once—, bronze skin that glistened invitingly with sweat, toned muscles mildly covered by bandages, and endless paths of intricate, hypnotizing dark ink decorating broad expanses of said skin was plenty unfamiliar but definitely not unwelcome.
Luffy remembers literally gulping, unable to peel his eyes away from the other man. His throat felt dry all of a sudden, his stomach twisted in a weird way.
It was like the heat of the environment had seeped into his whole body inside out, with a multiplied by five intensity.
Or
Luffy is thirsty and doesn't know it. The Strawhats help him realize what he's feeling. And Trafalgar D. Water Law happens to reciprocate said thirst and so much more.

Summary
“Have you ever watched the sunset out at sea?” Luffy asked, seemingly out of nowhere.
Law had long since given up on following the chaotic mess that was Luffy’s train of thought. He learned it was better to just go along with it and find out where it led. So, instead of asking where the question came from, he just shook his head.
“It’s so much prettier than on land. The sea reflects the sky and it’s like you’re in a sky-sandwich!” Luffy explained earnestly.
Law couldn’t have held back the bark of laughter that burst out of his mouth at Luffy’s silly analogy. It was such a Luffy thing to say, and yet it somehow made perfect sense. Now Luffy was bouncing with excitement, grinning literally from ear to ear.
“Let’s go watch the sunset together, Torao!” he said, pulling Law to his feet.

Summary
With every passing second the sounds get louder and more desperate, relentless, making more uncharacteristically needy cries slip out of Luffy’s mouth. Just from the growing intensity of the kisses Sanji can tell that Law, as per usual, has already caved in and surrendered to the other captain’s demands without any further thought.
At this point Sanji’s jaw is not just on the floor, but on the bottom of the damn sea, he cannot believe what he’s witnessing right now.
Or…
Law and Luffy get up to no good while everyone in the men’s quarters sleeps, and Sanji can’t help but listen.

A pensive hum left the younger man’s throat and a slight flush tinted his cheeks before he frowned.
Never one to read the room or be aware of his sometimes abnormal tendencies, he loudly announced “Your fingers say ‘Eat’ but they don’t taste that yummy, Torao. But it’s weird now… I kinda wanna do that again”.
Or…
Law experiences severe distress, Luffy and his lack of understanding of certain things are the ones that cause it. And how that makes them get together.

He doesn't want to bother his captain with any silly worries he may or may not have about life now that they’re finally able to sit down and talk. Instead, he wants to show him that he's fine and healthy, and grew up to be strong and independent just like he wanted him to be, 'The important question is…how are you these days, captain?' He asks, smiling at the king of the pirates himself.
Roger of course gives him that same bright grin that he used to give him all the time when he was just a child, but instead of telling Shanks how he's doing, his voice suddenly changes, morphing into another familiar yet very different one, 'Shanks…?' Roger calls out, but his voice is a lot higher now, and even a little nasally… and he kind of sounds like…Buggy?
"Hey, idiot, wake up!"

Law stands at the helm of a ship that isn’t his.
They need supplies, they need to recover (he needs to recover), they need to go back. He can’t— he doesn’t have another choice. They have to go back to Winner Island as soon as possible, as soon as they’re able. There’s just no other option, here. Not for him. Not when his entire crew, save for Bepo, is somewhere out there. They’re strong. They must have survived.
Law needs them to have survived.

Law’s hat left the top of his head. Looking up angrily, Law scowled, “Hey!”
The sharp tone fell short when Luffy gently placed his other hand on Law’s forehead, pushing up his dark hair. The younger captain calmly stared into Law’s shocked eyes, studying them in silence.
Law’s worn out heart was betraying him.
After so many losses, so many heart breaks, Law never seemed to learn his lesson.
