This time, Theo winces. The boy’s voice is soft and somehow sweet and exhausted just like his scent and Theo huffs.
Theo’s pack is dead. Josh’s throat ripped, Tracy’s guts out. Corey and Hayden nowhere to be found. The girl was probably smarter than Theo and left the city without second thought. The chameleon disappeared as Theo taught him to, but Theo is pretty sure that he is still around, spending his time and freedom with his human boy. But his pack is long gone, their blood behind Theo’s nails.
The boy notices his reaction and gives him an apologetic grimace.
“You don’t have one. Sorry.”

It all started when they lost their powers. No, that isn't right. It started when Five watched himself die in the bunker after finding out he was the one who founded the Commission. Or maybe it really started when they landed in the Sparrow Academy and after having their asses kicked so badly, Five relaxed for the first time in 45 years.
Let's hope it didn't start in Amsterdam, 1938 or that would get messy.
And maybe it started after it was done.
For now, Five knew only one thing. The world reset worked and he was in the world where Reginald Hargreeves was the most powerful man alive.
And there was no timeline nor alternative universe where that would mean a good thing.Also, his wife was apparently alive, so it did get messy.

Summary
“Oh, congratulations! You just came up with the stupidest plan of all time!” Theo rushed towards the door.
Liam’s always had a short temper and Theo’s always pushed his buttons in the least suitable situations. He met Theo in middle way and stopped him with nothing but hand on his chest, claws dangerously pressed against the fabric of shirt there, not piercing it yet.
“When the Ghost Riders find us,” Theo stumbled backwards, Liam coming with him, “I’m not doing anything for you. I’m not going to help you. I’m not going to save you. I’m going to do exactly what would you do to me…” Theo’s back hit the wall. Liam pushed his claws further, his face coming closer to Theo’s.
“I’m going to use you as bait.”Liam heard that when the wild animal is trapped, sometimes it tears off its own leg to escape. Theo looked like he was a second from tearing off Liam’s hand.
“Step back, Dunbar. Now.”

"It wasn't just about power, was it?" It couldn't be. Liam refused to believe that. Theo wanted the power but he was never lacking it. He looked away like he was deeply in thought.

Liam waited. He didn't ask anything else, he just waited for Theo to continue.
"I promised someone that I will find a way out, away from the Doctors. I don't expect anyone to understand how it was living with them and I don't expect you to understand why there was no other way. But it ended, how it ended, and they are dead now anyway. I just changed one prison for another." Still, the same tone. Not a sign of anything.
"You deserved it." Liam didn't recognize his own voice. It was just a whisper, full of hurt and pity. It was a plead.
