“I’m going with you.”Tony turned his head to the teen with a soft scoff, pulling the car door open with one hand. “No you’re not.”
He sat in the driver’s seat and shut the door, cutting off the kid's response. The engine turned smoothly and soon he was easing onto the street. At least that hothead had done him the courtesy of leaving a decent car.
Within minutes he was speeding down an empty highway. He turned and picked up the file he’d gotten from Mrs. Davis, flipping through the pages.
“That’s so unsafe. You’re not even looking at the road right now.” A slightly raspy voice came from behind him.
"What the--"
