Summary
Suguru dead-eyes him across the table.
“Please listen to me, man.” Satoru says.
“No.” Suguru responds in that long suffering way that means he’s going to listen to Satoru but he’s gonna be pissy about it first. “It’s, fucking, 7AM.” Suguru adds. Suguru is not a morning person. It’s why Satoru went and bought the fancy coffee Suguru likes and breakfast sandwiches and red bean buns. He had to go to the bakery across town to get those.
“It’s so important.” Satoru tells him.
“Your opening gambit at 7-fucking-AM was ‘say I’ve gotten into anal play lately, why do I leak cum before I cum?’” Suguru says with a glare.
“Yeah.” Satoru says.
Suguru glares even harder.
“Well, you could answer me at least.” Satoru huffs, crossing his arms over his chest.
“I hope you fall off a bridge and die.” Suguru tells him, but he’s unwrapping a breakfast sandwich and pulling the lid off one of the cups of coffee, so.
“I hope you do too.” Satoru says amicably, taking a seat. He pushes some napkins toward Suguru and switches out the breakfast sandwich. Suguru likes the ones with avocado better. “So why do I?”

Summary
He gets it, at first. Their timing is pretty bad—with his near-genocidal breakdown and their subsequent adoption of four kids, it was perhaps not the best time to start a romantic entanglement. And, sure, Suguru can see the valid point that making their present relationship into something more romantic probably won't take much change, but it’s about the weight of it all. Probably.
It would be irresponsible to not at least let the children settle before trying to deal with themselves. He’s… proud that Satoru has the foresight and maturity to be patient right now. It isn't like they're in a bad place now. They’re in a good place! It’s just the same one. The same one as before the kinda-sorta confession. From a month ago.

“Is it so terrible if I want to ruin a little the luck of those cold-hearted bastards who reject without remorse the genuine feelings of other people?” One pair of stick limbs grab emotionally at their chest while the other pair holds onto Satoru’s right leg as if it were a pole, their body dramatically swaying in feigned despair. Satoru rolls his eyes. “Do they not deserve to suffer a bit for their carelessness? Call it karma or whatever.”
“Buddy, you pushed that executive onto the train rails.”
“Oh, he was an asshole,” the curse easily dismisses with their hand, “Had an affair with two different women and used to hit his children.”
Or, Gojo wins the mission lottery and gets cursed by one peculiar grade 1. It doesn’t matter how easily it tells him what the cure is when the search for it brings him more grievances than the curse itself.
