So the man crouching in front of Castiel is named Dean. He wonders if that’s supposed to mean something to him.
“Cas must’ve got hit with something earlier. He just dropped like a sack of fucking potatoes a minute ago. By the time I was checking on him, he had already woken up again, but now he doesn’t fucking know who we are.”
“I’m right here you know,” Castiel says testily.
Sam’s eyes are wide even as his eyebrows are furrowed, and he looks between Dean and Castiel again.
“What do you remember, Cas?”
“Firstly, that I’m not Cas. I don’t know who Cas is, but it’s not me. I don’t know who either of you are, either."

Summary
Castiel has been Dean's college roommate since freshman year and his best friend for just as long—not that Dean is going to admit that out loud. When Castiel tells Dean that his parents set him up on a blind date over spring break, Dean suggests finding someone else to pretend to be his date to get his parents off his back. Dean didn't mean to volunteer, but seriously what could go wrong?
He had nothing better to do anyway with his kid brother too busy making goo-goo eyes at his new girlfriend and his unofficial uncle/adoptive dad off on a long haul. Besides, it's a free vacation to Martha's Vineyard... wherever the hell that is.
The closer together they're pushed by their fake relationship, the more confusing Dean's feelings become. There are secrets Castiel kept from him and after a bombshell gets dropped on Dean, he realizes, maybe there were secrets he was keeping from himself.
