Steve is very, very determined when it comes to making sure he's okay - be it an injury he's sustained after weeks of it happening or something silly like freezing up during an outing. He knows damn well that Steve is gonna dig as deep as he can until he finds even a slither of the exact reason Tony has these moments, and sure, it's gonna piss him off that he's so focused on it, but it's funny to see him try.
Maybe he also likes seeing that little crease between Steve's brows.
Just maybe, it's cute.
