Bright grey eyes fix on Lan Wangji, their black pupils immediately growing huge and round. A tail protrudes from behind his lithe body, held loosely up, its tip quirked to the side and flicking occasionally. His ears are triangular, perked up from between his somewhat tousled hair and glinting through his grin are two pointed, pearly white teeth.
Lan Wangji had assumed the tales of a young man being part cat were surely exaggerated, maybe born out of others speaking about his catlike mannerisms or the way he wielded his sword.

Wei Wuxian had been waiting for a chance to get Wen Chao outside of the main Wen compound in Nightless City. He lucked out when he discovered an exclusive club outside of Wen territory that the man frequented. The only problem was that the club was run by Hanguang-Jun, rumored to be the top enforcer of the Lan crime family, and it was nearly impossible to get in. The only people who were guaranteed admittance were VIPs (which Wei Wuxian was definitely not), or whichever omega Hanguang-Jun happened to be fucking that month. Wei Wuxian fit his general type, and decided to pose as the newest flavor on a night when the crime lord would be out of town and unable to verify his identity or not.Unfortunately, their intel was wrong. Hanguang-Jun was not out of town.

Wei Ying nibbled at his bottom lip, edging and almost drawing blood. Even when he was millenniums old, he felt like a child again. He wished his shijie was here with him. He wished it all the time.
With one long gaze into the night sky he sighed, already accepting. Determined.
The pure white egg before him pulsating with qi was the only thing keeping him from breaking down.

Lan Wangji goes into a fevered rut and accidentally bonds with Wei Wuxian. When they next meet, he remembers none of it, and Wei Wuxian is determined to keep the bond a secret—even when he's sent to the Cloud Recesses to be a consort in Lan Wangji's harem.
(tl;dr concubine!wwx is already married to emperor!lwj, who has no idea. drama ensues.)
