Summary
“Stiles.” Derek’s voice is short, thick around something he’s chewing down. He lands silently on the floor and straightens. “Pull up trail cam twelve. Now.”
Stiles blinks once, deliberately slow, then drags a hand in a wide, unnecessary arc at the desk.
“Hi. Manners, ever heard of them?” He doesn’t wait for an answer. “Great. I’m busy. See this?” He taps the monitor. “It’s work. You want trail cam twelve, you can use these incredible tools called hands.” He flaps his own at the keyboard like a flightless bird. “Keyboard’s right there, big guy. Space bar, enter key, whole world at your fingertips. Go wild. Type your little heart out. I’ll be over here not being your personal IT guy.” He swivels back half an inch, then swivels forward again to squint at Derek’s face.
Derek’s eyes narrow as he steps closer, posture tight. “Do it.”
“No.”
Or: Stiles flips the tables, takes control, and teaches Derek how good it feels to follow.

Summary
A locker slams; laughter spills in. Harry breaks away a fraction, breathing hard. Draco follows, not willing to give him space, mouth at Harry’s jaw, then his throat, slow, focused. Harry’s hand fists in the wet wool at Draco’s back. He has to hold himself still. If he starts rocking into Draco, they’ll both make a sound that gives everything away.

Malfoy plucks a flute of champagne from a passing tray and offers it. “I won’t keep you from the noble grindstone. One sip, one word. Then I’ll return your toy.”
Harry takes the champagne. “Word?”
“Rumour,” Malfoy says, sounding delighted that Harry played. “You give me a rumour. Not about you. About the Ministry.”
“You’re a journalist now?”
“God, no,” Malfoy says, almost offended. “I am, depending on who you ask, a fixer, a consultant, a curator of inconvenient facts, and on weekends, a man with taste. A rumour will do.”

Ilya didn’t look tired anymore, he was a whole lot more interested. He sat up, and Troy swallowed. He wasn’t physically small, but he was short, or at least a lot shorter than Ilya. Who, even still sitting, was massive.
“His number?” Ilya echoed, his tone a lot colder, still amused as if he couldn’t believe what Troy was asking him.
“I mean… if the rumour is true, I mean, Shane’s a babe. He seems like a good guy in general too. I just— sorry, I shouldn’t have asked, I know you guys are friends, I don’t know what got into me,” Troy started rambling as Ilya got up and gave him a careful look over.

Shane really shouldn’t call. He tells himself Ilya won’t answer, because they don’t do this, because they haven’t talked since they last emotionally devastated each other. Ilya won’t answer. He wants him to, feels like he needs him to.
He decides to give it three rings. If Ilya doesn’t pick up, he’ll hang up. Deny he ever called him. Block him if he sends him a screenshot of the missed call notification.
Ilya answers, waits for Shane to say something before tentatively asking, “Hollander?”
