He looks honest-to-God nervous. It’s sort of sweet, in a way you refuse to think about in any further detail.
“Clearly I’m fresh out of decent options. How bad could it be?”
The corner of his mouth twitches back up. “Just gonna tempt fate right out the gate there, huh?”
You roll your eyes. Pff. Yeah, like fate could throw you a curveball strong enough to actually knock you off your feet. Your life has been way too fucking weird to get that worked up about the idea of moving in with Dave Strider.
