there’s something so unknowable about the void.
it burns with freezing tendrils as it reaches to catch you, it sticks like cobwebs to skin as you fall through the emptiness, it’s all too bright and all too dark all at once to even fathom what could be happening to you. your senses are robbed from you one by one—the whistling in your ears vanishes, the pain numbs your skin, the blood in your mouth and nose loses its potency, and you can no longer see your arms in front of your face—before you slip into the cold embrace of death and wake in your own bed.
there’s no order to it, no constant other than the death that awaits you if you cannot escape soon enough. it’s so familiar, however; that moment of knowing there’s nothing left you can do, that second where you try to scream and realise your voice has already left you, that agonising stretch as you wait for your life to leave you behind.

lizzie doesn’t speak for a long moment, waiting for martyn to tremble against the hard floor. she always made ren get up before the stones in the fairy fort cut too deeply into his knees, but all of a sudden, lizzie finds she takes interest in the pain—obvious in the slight tremors that run through martyn’s body as he struggles to keep himself upright.

“this is weird.”
it’s all tango can think as he surveys himself in the mirror, dressed in rivendell formalwear. fur-trimmed shawls, flowing robes, neat shirts and trousers. it’s all very weird. not bad weird! it’s just- well, tango doesn’t think he’s worn anything fancy since he was, like, four. even then, it wasn’t close to the standard of intricacy rivendell seems to somehow consider casual.
he likes it though. it protects against the harsh weather like magic (which it may very well be), and it’s nothing if not comfortable. tango feels like royalty in it—like he can ask for anything and it’ll be delivered on a silver platter.
also- okay, he’ll admit it: he likes how he matches with scott. whilst the pattern is different—fire motifs instead of ice, yellows and oranges woven into the cyan fabric—its so obvious where it came from. tango likes the idea of everyone knowing he belongs to rivendell- to scott.
tango is scott’s royal advisor in rivendell, and he is being introduced to the rest of the emperors in a meeting. shenanigans ensue

another piglin trait, it seems, is to be fiercely protective of who they consider to be in their pack. apparently, joel is part of jimmy’s pack, and it’s honestly embarrassing how happy this makes him. shut up.
the issue is.. well, jimmy is a fairly touchy person. even before the whole- hybrid overhaul thing, it was fairly normal for jimmy to be nudging joel’s shoulder with his own, or pulling him into one-armed hugs. but now, jimmy seems to always be holding his hand, or resting his chin on joel’s head (no, he’s not short, jimmy is just stupidly tall), or leaning against him.
and joel-
it’s gonna sound stupid. in fact, it’s going to sound extremely stupid, because it is extremely stupid and joel cannot believe he even has this problem. you’re not allowed to laugh though, even though it is so dumb.
joel.. really likes it.

Megumi lives in a non-pet-friendly apartment with his two dogs. Itadori is his new neighbor. A leaky sink and a surprise visit from the landlord bring them together.
It's a good thing Itadori likes dogs.
