“Hey, Chim, did you hear that? I'm the captain's favorite.” Buck laughed as he watched Chimney lean against the cabinet to grab some pots.
“I'm sure you're not just Captain Nash's favorite.” Chimney spoke as he placed the bacon strips into the pan, making it sizzle in the oil. “I can clearly see the way Captain Diaz looks at you; in fact, you two flirt every time you see each other, it’s almost embarrassing.”

Summary
"I need your help; believe me, I wouldn't have come here if I didn't." Eddie crossed his arms over his chest, maintaining a defensive stance.
"My club doesn't need firefighters." Buck laughed as he studied Eddie's face. "But maybe I'd take a private performance," he said, running his tongue over his lips.
Eddie took a deep breath to keep from lashing out at Buck right then and there. A faint tingling sensation ran down his arms to his hands; he knew full well he’d be at a disadvantage.
"They kidnapped Christopher, Buck—they took my son." He bit his lip, trying to hold back the tears that welled up the moment he said it out loud.
Or
When Christopher is kidnapped, the only resource available to Eddie to find him is his ex-boyfriend, Buck, who is currently the leader of a gang. Both grapple with their mutual interest amidst a rekindled passion.

Summary
“So let me get this straight,” Buck says, then pauses, smiling wider. “Actually, poor choice of words.”
“I hate you,” Eddie grumbles.
“No, you don’t.”
Eddie doesn’t. That’s the problem.
“So you think you might like guys,” Buck continues, leaning further into Eddie’s space. Eddie can see the muscles in his abdomen tighten as he moves and he’s looking. Again. He can’t stop looking. Somebody sedate him. “But you’re not sure. You’ve never, what, tried it?”
“I’ve been a little busy being heterosexual, Buck. It’s a full-time job. Doesn’t leave a lot of room for extracurriculars.”
Buck chuckles. “Okay, well.” His eyes meet Eddies, humor still there, but now surrounded by heat, too. Shit. “There’s really only one way to find out.”

Summary
He reaches out, takes Tommy’s hand in his and smiles, soft and trembling.
Tommy looks taken aback, but doesn’t pull away. Doesn’t return the squeeze Buck offers him either, though.
“O-Okay, that’s— yeah, I’ll—” Bile crawls up Buck’s throat, discomfort burning along his esophagus. He doesn’t know why. “I could just move in with you.”
Tommy blinks. Blinks again. The pause he leaves is purposeful, weighty. He leaves Buck waiting there, unsure, still holding his hand. Then, “You’d give up your loft for me.”
OR: Buck moves in with Tommy. And then moves out again. Somewhere along the way, he rediscovers the meaning of home.

Summary
Buck survived months of captivity, torture and physical, psychological and sexual abuse at the hands of Michael Newstead.
Coming home, however, is not the same as getting his life back.
While his body slowly begins to heal, Buck has to learn how to live with the aftermath of his horrendous ordeal, how to accept help without surrendering control, and how to find his place in a family and a relationship that have both been changed by his absence.
Eddie wants to build a life with him, but love cannot erase trauma, undo what was done or protect either of them from every truth left buried in the aftermath.
Because Michael Newstead may be dead, but the damage he caused is still unfolding—and not every danger waiting for Buck belongs to the past.
---
or: A very dark and explicit story about Buck discovering that surviving prolonged captivity, torture and abuse does not mean the nightmare is over—especially when recovery comes with new limits, love comes with buried truths, and some dangers are much closer than anyone realises.Series
