A room of very dangerous, very confused men stared on as the mayor calmly sipped his tea.
Mayor Zhongli, the man who turned this dump of a town into a bustling metropolis, currently sat at a small round table in the centre of the room. Boss Tartaglia - the most feared man in the criminal underworld, both here and over the border in Avidya - sat opposite him. A single pot of tea rested between them, two delicate China cups filled with steaming hot liquid.
The silence was palpable, Tartaglia's men finding their hands twitching anxiously by their guns.
Zhongli wants to return the lands of Liyue to their former glory.
Tartaglia controls the ports. The last thing he needs is a competent mayor - or so he thinks.
That mayor turns out to be quite the charmer and suddenly he's not quite sure what he needs.

Summary
Something of a discovery is made in Liyue when an earthquake strikes Huaguang Stone Forest, causing a cave to open up at the base of Mt. Aocang. Researchers discover a man sleeping inside the cave, experiments are conducted but with no results, no one is able to find a way to wake him up. The people of Liyue, neither the government nor the Millelith, know what to do with him and decide to work with the Fatui in an attempt to keep him secure until he wakes up.
He is placed in a hospital for long-term maladies under the care of a particular nurse named Childe. Childe gives him the name Zhongli upon meeting him, and slowly, as he grows accustomed to his presence, begins to fall for Zhongli and prays for him to wake up, but he never stops to think about what would happen if Zhongli indeed woke up.

Summary
Childe himself would still be happily in dreamland if Diluc hadn’t kicked him out of bed, forced him into a uniform, and then hired him, all within the span of one bus ride to the store. He’s pretty sure he has negative the amount of credentials needed for this job, but they are apparently desperate and short-staffed, the previous employee quitting an hour before their shift. Childe doesn’t know why anyone would ever want to leave a job that involved getting paid minimum wage to be yelled at by angry customers on a Saturday morning.
(Childe and Diluc work at a coffee store. Things go as well as expected.)
