Struggling Through (With Some Help)

Summary:

Carlos was asked to swing by Chris' apartment to check up on the guys boyfriend. He'd never met Leon, but this was definitely not how he thought the meeting would go.

Completely revised.

Notes:

There is a lot going on in this fic, I was not sure how to tag it all. So I will just give some brief information here: Leon does struggle to eat and has moments of aggression caused by PTSD and past bad experiences.
I've completely re-edited this. Compared to the original there are now 3000+ more words, and I fixed some of the characterizations. If you are re-reading, please enjoy.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“You want me to what?” Carlos asked over the phone, on speaker. He had paused right outside of leaving the office, finally done with a mountain of post-mission work. Jill sighed impatiently back at him.

“Swing by Chris’ place. His boyfriend isn’t answering any calls and he asked me to go check on him, but I’m busy right now.”

“That’s the Leon guy, yeah?” Carlos asked. He looked at his phone screen as it lit up, pausing to check it as he opened his car door. A message from Jill, sending him the address and entrance code for the building where this guy lived.

“Yeah. And as warning, he can be kind of rude but don’t take it too hard. He doesn’t mean it.” She said, clearly distracted if the clicking of a keyboard in the background said anything.

Carlos sighed, “Instilling me with confidence. I’ll go see if he’s all good.”

“Thanks Carlos, I owe you one.” And she hung up. With a frown, Carlos pulled up the directions and finally climbed into his car, starting up the engine and pulling out of the parking garage.

The apartment building he drove to was in a nice area, lots of well-maintained plots of grass and watered flowers around it. Finding a spot in the parking lot was easy and Carlos was making his way up to the building doors. He got inside the building with the code, then followed Jill’s directions to the correct apartment room a few floors up.

Carlos knocked on the door, waiting patiently. Time passed and he started to worry whether or not he was at the wrong room.

Carlos pulled up his phone, looking at the message Jill sent him. Nope, this was right. He knocked again and waited.

A few moments passed.

He knocked yet again. Carlos stood awkwardly as more minute passed.

With a sigh, he pulled out his phone, calling Jill.

“You already done?” She asked immediately, not even a ring in before she picked up.

“No. I’m still here, the dude isn’t answering the door.” He responded, trying to keep annoyance from bleeding into his voice. There was silence over the line.

“You remembered to knock right?” Jill asked.

“Wha—I—Yes Jill, I remembered to knock.” He scoffed.

“Just checking,” She murmured, “There should be a matt outside their door with a key under it if you want to check for that. I don’t want you leaving without checking on him.”

“Fine, fine,” Carlos bent down, lifting the rug. Low and behold the key was there, scuffed up and old, “Got it, I’ll check on him and text you when I’m done.” Jill thanked him quickly and hung up. Carlos unlocked the door, finally stepping inside of the apartment.

It was dark, and Carlos thought that the Leon dude might just be taking a nap or something. He walked through the living room in the dark, taking note of the three doors leading out of this room. Carlos decided to check the first door on the right. A guest room, nicely furnished and with an attached bathroom. No Leon.

Carlos came back to the living room. He noticed that it smelt nice, like an orange and lemon candle. Carlos couldn’t spot any lit candles though, the room completely dark minus whatever light came in through the windows. Maybe just one of those diffusers? Whatever, he wasn’t here to sniff out their home.

The first room across the guest room led into a small laundry room. No Leon. The last door to be checked was cracked open, and Carlos hesitantly pushed it in.

It was a clearly lived in room, the bed messily made up. The master bedroom, from the looks of it. Carlos stepped in, unsure. This is the last place he could be so where…?

“Leon?” Carlos called as he looked around. No response. He noticed the citrus smell was strongest here. So someone had to be here, had to have lit a candle or something. There were two doors to the left. He checked the further one first. A bathroom. Just to be sure, Carlos stepped in, checking the shower and the little towel closet.

“Where the hell is this dude.” Carlos muttered to himself, frustrated as he stepped back out to the main bedroom. One last door. He stepped up to it, twisting the knob and swinging it open.

“Leon, are you—oh.” Carlos looked down. The man he’d seen in pictures of from Chris was backed into the corner of the walk-in closet. He was snarling at Carlos, looking like he’d lash out at any second. The citrus scent was so much stronger here. Carlos finally started to connect the dots.

“Oooh, okay, uhh—” He stammered. This dude… he was in heat. Leon was still glaring at Carlos with a look that could strike him dead. Completely unsure of what to do, Carlos pulled out his phone once more.

“I thought you said you’d text?” Jill asked, sounding annoyed.

“Well, I would have, had everything been okay.” Carlos responded. Leon looked so keyed up that Carlos took a step back away from the now open door. The closet was a mess, clothes strewn about, nice shirts wrinkled. Leon was panting, eyes flickering all over Carlos as if sizing him up. Carlos had no doubt that Leon could beat him in a fight and really didn’t want to test that.

Jill was alert immediately, “What’s wrong?” She asked.

“He’s in heat.” Carlos answered. There was silence over the line.

“Run that by me again?”

“Leon, Chris’ dude? He’s in heat.” Carlos repeated. More silence over the phone. Carlos took another step back, just a minuet one. Leon panted, brows furrowing in a grimace. Carlos frowned.

“Is he… okay, aside from that?” Jill asked. Carlos looked Leon over more carefully. He didn’t really have a nest built up, which normally wasn’t a good thing but it’s not like Carlos knew how Leon functioned under a typical heat. Maybe all the clothes thrown on the floor was an attempt at one? It didn’t look like it at all… it looked like a mess more than anything.

Carlos noted with confidence that Leon was stressed, especially with Carlos’ presence. Which was understandable. He was a stranger in the home of an omega in heat. And Leon had to be in pain if the way he shifted and winced every few seconds said anything. Carlos could smell the bitterness in his scent, only just picking up on the telltale signs of discomfort.

“I don’t think so… He’s in pain, I think. And just uncomfortable.” Carlos said. His worry grew the longer he looked the omega over, watching Leon pant in the corner, body coiled tight as a spring and skin pale and waxy with sweat. Jill made a sound over the phone.

“I’m calling Chris. You stay where you are and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can on what we need to do.” And she hung up before Carlos could respond. So much for her work, Carlos supposed…

He tucked his phone away again, looking at Leon. He was pressed as far from Carlos as he could get, wedged into the corner. His bangs hid most of his face, but the rise and fall of his body gave away his pain.

Worried and more than a little unsure, Carlos tried talking to him, “Hey Leon, I’m Carlos—umm—maybe you’ve heard of me? Friend of Jill’s?” He tried. Leon only glared at him through his bangs. The omega opened his mouth to speak, but winced instead, a pained sound escaping him.

Carlos wished he could soothe him, but didn’t really feel like it was his place to coddle and console… He didn’t really know the guy, and wasn’t sure what Chris wanted him to do in this situation.

Carlos had been with omegas, been with a few in heat too and was aware of how much it sucked if they weren’t getting the help they needed during their cycle. He knew it hurt and ached and was just… downright unpleasant. He could see the way Leon broke into yet another cold sweat at the pain, a soft sound of displeasure making it past bitten lips even as he tried to keep up a strong appearance in front of a person who was a stranger in his home.

He seemed to deteriorate right in front of Carlos, strong appearance breaking down.

“Look, Jill is calling Chris, we’re gonna get this situated, okay?” Carlos tried. It really didn’t seem like anything he was saying was going through, only a small twitch at the mention of Chris. Leon just closed his eyes tight, gritting his teeth and trying to breathe.

Finally, Carlos’ phone buzzed. He dug it out of his pocket and answered.

“Here’s what’s going to happen,” Jill started before Carlos could even get a word out, “I’m coming over to help him. I would like if you would stay too, to help me help him through the heat. You aren’t obligated to do so, though. We can talk about it more when I get there. I can get you a few days of paid leave for this too.” Jill said. He could hear her shuffling around in the background, grabbing her keys and other belongings.

“Woah, what do you mean you’re going to help?” He asked incredulously. Jill sighed under her breath, frustration not directed at Carlos.

“Unfortunately, these idiots have the worst luck,” She huffed, “So they actually have a plan set out in case this happens. Leon can’t really be on his own for heats, so he needs someone there not just to watch him but to physically assist through the heat.”

Carlos was utterly confused, “So you’re that someone? Where the hell is Chris, why can’t he be here?”

“There’s actually a short list of people that they have to help them with heats or ruts if they come up and their partner isn’t there. I’m on Leon’s list. I already knew and consented to all this, of course, but I just needed to let Chris know and run it by him again,” Carlos could hear that she was in the parking garage, getting into her car and starting it up.

“Chris is halfway through his mission right now. They almost didn’t let me get into contact with him until I told them it was an emergency.” She said.

“I know a heat is painful on their own, but it should be manageable, so why can’t Leon—” Jill cut him off.

“PTSD messes up the timing of and how the body processes a cycle, plus a few issues from classified missions that fuck his heat up. I’m lucky that my own cycle is okay and manageable, but Leon isn’t quite as lucky. I don’t think it’s my place to get too into it, but if you help I’m sure you’ll understand.”

“And you know how to take care of him?” Carlos asked, unsure. Her jeep was driving down a highway if the vrrrmm of the vehicle was any indication.

“I do, for the most part. I haven’t been with him physically, just kept him company in pre-heat before when Chris couldn’t be there. But Chris gave me a basic run down and warning on fully helping Leon.”

“Warning?” Carlos asked, alarmed.

“Really, it’s not my place to talk about it. Not right now at least.” She reiterated.

Carlos sighed, “Okay, and how do I fit into all of this?” There was silence for a moment.

“I’m hoping you’ll help him too.” She said.

“By help, you mean what I think you mean?”

There was a hum, confirming Carlos’ suspicion on just how involved she wanted him to be.

“But I’m not on the list, right?” He asked. Jill sighed.

“No, you aren’t on the list, but it would be more efficient if you helped. I don’t exactly have a dick, now do I?” She asked. Carlos frowned.

“But would Chris and Leon be oka—”

“As long as I’m there to moderate everything, so to speak, it should be fine. I already ran the potential of you being there by Chris too, and he’s fine with it.” She said.

“And Leon?” Carlos asked, feeling odd talking about him like this while standing right in front of the man.

“If I’m there, he should be open to anything that I allow. I’m on his emergency list because I want him safe and will do what’s best for him. But if he rejects you once we get him settled, then that’s that and you won’t help.” She explained. Carlos nodded, mostly to himself.

He looked at Leon, watching him struggle through a wave of pain if the way he bit at his lip said anything. Carlos was more than a little sympathetic towards what he was going through.

“Okay, fine.” He finally said.

“Great,” Jill’s voice perked up a little over the phone, “Don’t do anything until I get there, but we’ll have to get him into a proper nest because I’m sure he isn’t in one, and then try to make sure we’ve got food and water for him. They should have stuff stocked up in the house for him.” Carlos let her know that he heard and understood, and they hung up.

Carlos looked at Leon, unsure once more of what to do while he waited for Jill to get here and take control of the situation.

What the hell was he getting himself into…

Leon seemed like he was finally getting used to Carlos’ presence, not quite as pressed against the wall as he had been and body not as tense. His eyes were still closed, and pained tremors wracked his body here and there. He was letting out breathy sounds of discomfort under his breath. It didn’t seem like he was fully in the crest of the heat yet, but definitely getting near if his scent said anything.

Jill told Carlos to not do anything and he wasn’t going to disobey that. He did sit down though, right outside of the doorway to the walk-in closet. Leon startled, glare steady again, but calmed down quickly as Carlos sat still.

Carlos waited, uncomfortable in the silence.

“Jill will be here soon to help you out,” He broke the quiet of the room. Leon’s eyes flicked up to look at him, bangs covering half of his face, “Do you… need anything right now?” He asked. He waited for a response, thinking for a moment that his words weren’t making any sense to the guy.

And then Leon shook his head with a pant.

And then Carlos was surprised as Leon choked out, “No,” voice rough and throat sounding dry, “What—” He paused to breath, “What the f-fuck are you doing here.” He asked, a shiver visibly running through the omega.

“Waiting for Jill to get here, and then I’m going to help you if you’ll let me.” Carlos said, trying to gather himself from his surprise. Leon just stared at him, looking Carlos over with a calculating look that could rival Jill’s. And then Leon just groaned, shrinking in on himself again.

Carlos watched him worriedly, knowing that as of right now there was nothing he could do. Carlos took a moment to peek around the room while he could, staying seated where he was. Jill said they were probably going to have to make a proper nest, might as well try to spot the materials for it.

He still didn’t really understand why Leon wasn’t in one already. Nest building was step one for a heat, or that was Carlos’ understanding. And yet here Leon was, curled in the back of a closet in a mess of clothes instead of properly nested.

Waiting for Jill, Carlos just talked to Leon here and there while he waited. Asking questions, commenting on things. Sometimes Leon answered, voice strained and wary, but he seemed to relax the more Carlos talked to him, his pained tremors lessening.

There was a knock on the door and then the creak of it opening, footfalls that Carlos knew well enough to be Jill’s. Carlos cringed, remembering he completely forgot to lock the door when he came in. He was only supposed to be in and out so he hadn’t expected to need to lock it.

Jill found them quick, able to scent out Leon with her more sensitive alpha nose. And Leon seemed to scent her out as well, if the way he stiffened up almost nervously said anything.

Jill came into the master bedroom, seeing Carlos on the floor.

“How’s Leon?” She asked as she stepped in, looking around. Carlos frowned.

“You could see for yourself.” He gestured into the open door of the walk-in closet. Jill came around to look in. Carlos watched her expression soften, worry pinching her brows together.

“Hi Leon.” She said, almost cooed to him. Carlos was surprised by the gentleness in her tone, her stance open and friendly. Leon looked up at her, recognition lighting up his face.

“J-Jill.” He struggled out, relief heavy in his broken voice.

Jill smiled at him, giving a little nod “I’m here to help, okay? Do you wanna come out? We can start making a nice nest for you.” She offered, starting to step around Carlos and towards Leon in the closet. Carlos picked up on her letting her scent out, minty and earthy, something to help relax Leon. He still stiffened, watching Jill get near him.

The bitterness in Leon’s scent just picked up further and Jill stopped moving forwards, raising her hands.

“Just here to help.” She said carefully.

“I’m not moving fr—from here.” Leon said stubbornly. He licked his dry lips, body language just a tad more frantic. Carlos read all the signs of him being ready to lash out, and Jill had to see it too.

Jill turned to Carlos, “Start grabbing blankets and pillows or whatever you can get your hands on,” And she turned back to Leon, “You should move Leon, it’s not very roomy in here, don’t you want more space?” She asked. Carlos got up and did what was asked of him, starting by stripping the bed of sheets and blankets presumably for a nest.

“Not safe.” Carlos heard Leon mutter, “Ch—Chris.” Carlos frowned, pulling the pillows off the bed. So he hadn’t nested because he felt… unsafe? That was… a bit sad, really. He shouldn’t feel unsafe in his own home, especially while in heat. That couldn’t be normal, Carlos had never heard of that being an issue with omegas in heat. Their home was supposed to be the most comfortable place for them.

“Chris isn’t here Leon, I’m sorry,” He turned to see Jill crouch down, closer to Leon now, “I’m going to help you, me and Carlos. We’re going to keep you safe, okay?” She reassured. Leon’s eyes flicked over to Carlos who was gathering what he hoped were adequate nesting materials.

He looked back at Jill, then leaned in with a whine, strong appearance he’d been keeping up seemingly breaking down. Jill wrapped her arms around him, pulling him tight to her chest. Her scent bloomed out strongly and Leon went limp in her grasp, a relieved groan pulled out of him.

“There you go, I’ve got you.” Jill cooed to him, pressing her cheek to his messy hair, running her hands up and down Leon’s back. She turned to Carlos, looking at what he’d gathered.

“That looks good, start putting it together.” She instructed. She rested a hand against the back of Leon’s neck, gently guiding him to stay tucked into her neck where her scent was strongest.

“Isn’t he supposed to do that?” Carlos asked. Omegas were supposed to make their own nest, it was just… just a thing they did on their own. At least, that’s what Carlos was familiar with.

Jill frowned hard, “Just put it together Carlos.” She said sternly but not unkindly. Carlos did his best, mimicking what he’d seen omegas set up. He could hear Jill talking to Leon quietly, just mindless nonsense to keep him distracted.

“Is this okay?” Carlos asked after a few minutes when he thought he’d made something half decent. He had put it near a corner of the room, away from the door, hoping that would make Leon feel safe and tucked away. Jill looked up to glance over it.

“Should be decent.” She said. She leaned down to Leon again, whispering in his ear. He made soft sounds and eventually nodded his head shakily at Jill’s coaxing. She stood, picking Leon up with her. Carlos marveled at her muscle for what felt like the hundredth time since knowing her, watching her carry the man with ease.

Jill brought him over to the nest, setting him down in it with care. Carlos noted that she didn’t even step into the nest when putting the omega down, and he took a small step back from it.

Leon sat in the nest, looking it over unsteadily. After a moment of deliberation, he pushed himself back against the edge of the nest, closer to the corner, pressing into the blankets and pillows. Carlos preened just a bit at an omega accepting the nest he made.

“Good?” Jill asked, a gentle smile on her face. Leon nodded, giving a rough “Thanks,” struggling to get just the one word out. All of the blankets and pillows probably smelt like both Chris and Leon, so it would be good for him, help him relax. Jill smiled, watching him calm down.

“Do you want something more comfortable to wear right now?” She asked. Leon was in cargo pants and a tight top, surely uncomfortable for someone in heat. Leon nodded, wincing as if just reminded of the discomfort he was still in.

Jill moved over to the dresser drawers, going through them haphazardly until she found a big baggy shirt for him and some shorts. She came back, leaning over the nest to hand them to him. Leon huffed, starting to try and pull himself out of his clothes so he could change.

“Leon, Carlos and I will be right back.” Jill said, already grabbing at Carlos’ arm to drag him away. Leon looked up at her and gave a small shaky nod, continuing to pull himself out of his sweaty clothes. Jill pulled them out of the room, cracking the door behind her.

She led them both to the kitchen and started going through the cabinets, Carlos standing behind her.

“So uh, why did you need me out here?” Carlos asked, watching her unsurely. Was he supposed to help or…?

“Wanted to give you a quick rundown,” She said. She opened a high up cabinet and made a pleased noise, pulling out a small box of what looked to be breakfast bars, “Leon won’t want to eat or drink, we might need to make him. Chris has warned me before that force could be necessary.” She said, continuing her search through some drawers. Carlos startled at her words.

“You want us to hold him down and shove food down his throat?” He asked incredulously.

Jill paused, turning to look at him, “I’m going to do the best job I can to keep him healthy, and I’ll do what I have to to make sure he’s okay.” She turned back to her search. Carlos was surprised, stunned silent. But… she had a point.

“Anything else I need to know?” He sighed after a moments silence. She opened the fridge and seemed to find something she liked again, pulling out a package that held what looked like packets of jello. She set them on the counter with the maybe-breakfast bars, then reached in once again to grab a few bottles of water.

“Apparently, he can be aggressive. Or lash out if it’s really bad. We need to make sure he doesn’t hurt us or himself. Which should be easy if we just keep an eye on him and meet his needs.” She answered. She handed Carlos the jellies and a few of the bottles, grabbing the bars as the last item. She started making her way back towards the bedroom.

“So he can’t have a heat alone because he’s a risk to himself?” Carlos asked. This really sounded crazy, this wasn’t how a heat was supposed to be at all. This all sounded too complex, too violent.

Jill shrugged, stopping right before the cracked door, “More or less.”

“How does Chris deal with all this?” Carlos asked, words dipping down towards a whisper as they stood right outside the door. He couldn’t imagine trying to keep up with this stuff on his own.

Jill shrugged again, “I don’t know. They’ve been together for years though, it’s just normal for them at this point. They get longer medical leaves for Leon’s heats though, since there can be so many complications. Not that Chris’ ruts are any better, apparently.”

She paused, looking at Carlos earnestly, “Are you still in? You don’t have to do this.” Carlos hesitated. This was a lot but… Jill apparently knew what she was doing, and he wanted to help Leon through what seemed like a miserable experience otherwise.

With a sure nod, “Yeah, I’m still in.” Jill smiled.

“Great, let’s get back to him. We need to get him to eat and drink. God knows how long he’s been without food and water.” And they made their way back into the room.

Jill went in first, setting down her waters and the box on the floor a bit away from the nest, still within reach. Leon was changed into the other clothes, the ones he’d previously worn thrown across the room.

Leon was laid out on his back, sunk into the blankets and pillows Carlos had put out for him, looking far more relaxed than he had when Carlos had first stumbled upon him. Carlos set his stuff down next to Jill’s as Jill grabbed a water bottle and one of the jelly packets.

“Alright Leon,” She started, voice sweet and minty scent seeping out to ease him, “Got water for you, can you drink some?” She said with a patience Carlos hadn’t realized she was capable of. She cracked the bottle open and offered it to him. Leon frowned at her. Jill kneeled down outside of the nest, still holding it out. Carlos mimicked her, sitting down just outside of the nest.

“Aren’t you thirsty? Come on, Leon.” She gently shook the bottle. With a frown, Leon reached a hand out, shakily grabbing the bottle. He took a sip, a quick one, looking at Jill expectantly as he swallowed.

“A little more.” She said kindly. Carlos watched the interaction, unsure if he should be doing anything. Leon scowled, shaking his head and offering the bottle back to Jill.

“Chris would want you to.” Jill tried. Leon frowned then, distress picking up and scent souring.

“J—Jill, I really don’t want to…” He got out, body language keying up uncomfortably. Jill’s scent was sweet and easy, trying to combat the distress.

“Can I come in the nest Leon?” She asked, diverting his focus for a second as she gestured to the collection of pillows and blankets. Leon nodded, not hesitating in his answer. Jill smiled, climbing in and sitting down right next to Leon, leaning against him. He pressed into her side, seeming comforted by the contact.

Carlos just watched, keeping to himself while Jill took control of the situation.

Jill gently took the water bottle from Leon’s trembling hand—something he was clearly trying to hide if the momentary concentration in his brow said anything—holding the bottle to his lips. Leon pulled back, frowning.

“Be good, okay? Drink a bit more.” She said. Leon pulled away more, shaking his head at her.

“I’ll be sick.” He answered, voice shaking just enough to give away his discomfort. Jill frowned at him.

“You’ll be sick if you don’t drink.” She pushed her own scent out heavier, and Leon seemed a little dazed as it hit him. Carlos watched them with masked concern. Jill brought the water to Leon’s mouth again and he sluggishly drank, a bit of the water slipping out of his mouth with his scent daze. Jill wiped it away, pulling the bottle back.

She raised a hand to the back of Leon’s neck, holding him reassuringly and petting against the short hair at the back of his head.

“Are you supposed to… do that to him?” Carlos asked. Jill looked over at him.

“Do what? Hand me the jelly.” She pointed, tone less sweet to Carlos. Not that he minded, he wasn’t the one in heat here. Carlos leaned over to grab the jelly packet and tossed it to her.

“Using your scent on him like that?” He asked. Jill turned back to Leon who still looked dazed.

“I can, in moderation,” And she popped the jelly packet open, twisting the cap off of it, “Here Leon. Chris said you like these, right?” And she held it to him. It reminded Carlos of those applesauce packets that kids ate. Leon nodded lazily, pupils blown wide. Jill helped him hold the packet so he could eat it.

Curious, Carlos reached over and grabbed an extra jelly packet. He read the label on it. Oh, okay, so these were nutrient packs, basically. For heats and ruts. Cherry flavored.

Carlos turned back to the two of them. Jill was setting the packet aside, mostly eaten.

“Here, lay down and rest while you can.” She guided, helping him lean back. Her care towards the omega continued to surprise Carlos. Leon shakily lowered himself to lay in the nest, looking unsure as he came back to himself. Jill laid down next to him, letting Leon curl up against her. She placed herself closer to the door, a barrier between it and Leon while the omega rested.

“Can Carlos join?” She asked. Leon peeked up, eyes cleared and pupils normal now that Jill wasn’t overusing her scent. He looked Carlos over. And then he was pressing his face into Jill’s shoulder.

“Yeah, sure.” The words came out bitten. Carlos frowned. That didn’t really sound like an honest yes… But then he caught Jill’s eye, saw how she waved him forwards encouragingly.

Hesitant, Carlos climbed into the nest, finally kicking his shoes off. He settled himself behind Leon carefully, between him and the wall so the omega was between him and Jill. Leon pressed back into him as much as he could while staying nestled close to Jill, Carlos having to keep from preening knowing that Leon was relaxed enough with him to seek out comfort and contact.

Jill and Carlos waited quietly until Leon’s breathing evened out with sleep. His skin was hot, Carlos able to feel it through the clothes between them, the omega still sweaty. It couldn’t be comfortable between the heat of two bodies as he was, but Carlos had heard no complaints.

He finally took a moment to speak up, still thinking about what Leon had said earlier, “What did he mean that it would make him sick?” Carlos asked in a whisper, trying not to wake the man between them. Jill looked down at Leon, holding him between her arms.

She sighed, sounding somber, “Like I had said, it doesn’t make him sick to eat, it makes him sick to not eat, but his brain doesn’t process that properly, so…” She looked back up at Carlos. Confusion must have shown on his face because Jill was quick to elaborate.

“He can get overheated if he doesn’t get any assistance, or doesn’t have someone to care for him, and if he hasn’t eaten it can make him feel sick, and in the extreme throw up,”

Jill frowned, running a hand over Leon’s arm, “Which isn’t pleasant when you already feel like shit. Getting that hot can give him heatstroke too. His brain just doesn’t comprehend that information properly and somewhere along the line tells him if he eats he’ll be sick.” Carlos frowned. Everything he heard made his sympathy go out to this guy more and more.

They waited patiently as Leon rested, exchanging small bits of conversation over him, careful not to wake him. Leon’s skin was surprisingly soft, just a few dents from scars here and there breaking it up. Carlos mimicked Jill at some point, laying a hesitant hand on the omega at Jill’s insistence that contact would help Leon.

There was about an hour of idly talking before Carlos felt telltale signs of him waking up. He was right up against Leon, the sweet citrus right under his nose, able to easily scent the way it picked up with consciousness.

Jill looked over Leon at Carlos when the scent hit her, “You still okay to do this?” She asked. Carlos took a moment to think it over again. He really wanted to help, make this easier for everyone involved… and he was comfortable doing so.

“Yeah, I’m still down.” He said. Jill shot him a smile.

Leon woke up between them, pressing his face into Jill’s neck with a whine that surely any other time would be uncharacteristic of this government agent, breathing her in. Jill ran a hand over his shoulders, down his side. He twitched under the touch, low sounds and grumbles escaping him as he came back to the land of the living.

They both waited for a sign from Leon to do something, not wanting to startle him or initiate a lot of contact when he wasn’t ready.

“Jill—” He finally choked out, shifting his hips in a way that was more than telling.

“Want some help?” Jill asked, running a hand over Leon’s face, cupping his jaw. He nodded uncoordinatedly in her grasp.

“Please, please.” He gasped out, voice low and rough, and Jill nodded with a smirk. She sat up, leaning over Leon and pressing him further onto his back. He looked up at her almost confused as she pulled away, eyes giving away to his desire to keep that close contact with the alpha.

Carlos watched Jill run a hand down Leon’s chest, over his clothed stomach and lower still. Carlos noted how she watched Leon’s face carefully, more than likely making sure he was reacting positively to everything, no hesitance peeking through his expression.

Carlos could see that Leon definitely seemed to be enjoying what she was doing, hips twitching towards her hand as it neared the area he wanted her to touch.

“Carlos, why don’t you sit up by Leon’s head.” Jill suggested. Carlos nodded and did as he was told, sitting down next to where Leon’s head was rested back into a pillow. The man turned to press his face against Carlos’ thigh, Carlos surprised by the contact. He reached a hand down, tentatively running it through Leon’s hair, pressing sweaty strands out of his face. He tried to mimic what Jill had done, or what she might’ve, and it seemed to work well if the needy reactions from Leon said anything.

He watched Leon moan, glancing down to see Jill pulling down the man’s shorts and boxers. His cock was hard against his stomach, area between his legs soaked in slick. His scent gave way to how he was finally in a full crest of heat.

Carlos felt arousal pool in his gut, unable to help himself.

Carlos made an appreciative sound as he watched Jill press her hand against Leon’s thigh, “You’re really wet, huh? Are you gonna behave for us, Leon?” He murmured down to the omega. Leon groaned in response, nodding quick and frantic against Carlos’ thigh while his hips twitched at the hushed words. Carlos ran his hand through his hair again with a grin, taking a moment to pull at soft strands. Leon groaned.

Carlos noticed Jill looking intently at Leon, running a thumb over the inside of his inner thigh. His legs spread easily, cock twitching.

“Still okay?” She asked, that gentleness Carlos was still trying to get used to peeking out as she ran nails over sensitive skin. Leon nodded yet again. He lifted a hand, gripping hard at Carlos’ pants.

“Could you—” He cut himself off with a groan, seeming to wince from some pain Carlos couldn’t place. Jill seemed to understand and Carlos watched her fingers slide between his legs carefully. Leon moaned, long and drawn out as Jill sunk two fingers into him, rubbing at what had to be overheated inner walls. Carlos felt a tinge of jealousy for her position.

Her other hand rested low on Leon’s stomach, pressing at the taught muscles clenching and unclenching at waves of pleasure and pain alike. Jill rubbed at the muscles, easing them to relax. Carlos assumed she was trying to rid Leon of whatever pain he was in, and it seemed to work.

Leon huffed appreciatively against Carlos’ leg. He still seemed on edge with the two new people in his nest, but clearly not uncomfortable enough to turn away a helping hand.

“You’re so loose,” Jill said in a low tone, Carlos watching the tendons in her wrist flex as she spread fingers, “Aching for it, huh?” Leon grit his teeth, brow furrowing as she pressed and prodded around for something. He let out a shaky breath, biting at his lip as Jill paused. Her eyes flicked up to meet Carlos’, a smirk alighting her face.

“You gonna be good? Let Carlos make you come? Satisfy your heat?” She asked, voice lilting into something teasing. She was leaning down over Leon in a way that distinctly reminded Carlos as a panther, eyes sharp. Her scent was heady, protective almost. Carlos watched her hand move rhythmically between Leon’s legs, slowing for a moment to add another finger.

Leon’s breath hitched, coming out in quick pants afterwards. Carlos ran his hand through sweaty hair again, wanting a better view of the way Leon’s eyes shut tight, how he bit his lip.

“Ye-eah… yes, please.” He answered breathily, eyes fluttering closed. Carlos watched Jill crook her fingers, no doubt pressing against Leon’s prostate. His eyes flew open, a surprised moan slipping out.

“Ah! A-aah, please, please—” He stuttered out, pressing his head back against the pillows under him. He shifted his hips down to press harder into Jill’s hand and she obliged him for a moment, rubbing at his prostate and dragging long moans out of him.

“Switch with me Carlos.” Jill instructed as she pulled her hand away, and Carlos did as told, no questions asked. Carlos settled himself between Leon’s legs, running appreciative hands over muscled thighs. Jill rested Leon’s head in her lap, leaning down to whisper to him and share her scent.

It was admittedly a bit strange from Carlos’ perspective, but he thought he understood. Carlos to satisfy him physically, Jill’s scent to trick Leon’s brain into thinking he was with an alpha. That would drive the heat down so much faster, keep him more at ease and make this process less painful.

Carlos slid his pants off slim hips, underwear next. He caught two sets of eyes checking him out. He sent them a smirk, moving forward on his knees to get Leon’s legs up over his hips. Leon watched him, gaze notably heated. The man had an arm reaching back, grabbing a handful of Jill’s shirt.

Carlos gave himself a few solid strokes before lining up, already hard from Leon’s scent, strong even to Carlos’ nose. He waited for some sort of okay from Jill or Leon to start.

Jill spoke up, “Go ahead.” Her voice low. Leon made a quiet sound and tilted his head back to look at her. She leaned down, her short hair covering them from Carlos’ view.

Carlos started pushing in, being as gentle as he could manage. Leon felt good, warm and so receptive. Carlos steeled himself to keep his slow, steady press instead of going all the way in in one thrust.

Leon let out an appreciative breath, eyes closed and face flushed. Jill sat back up, a new hickey forming under Leon’s jaw. Carlos sat back on his heels with a grunt, watching himself sink into Leon as sparks of pleasure sank low in his hips. The man was warm, so hot around him. Carlos withheld a groan.

He kept a tight grip on Leon’s hip with one hand, holding him still so Carlos could set the pace. Jill leaned down again to scent Leon, the earthy scent thick and heady. Leon looked dazed with it, muscles relaxing under Carlos’ grip.

“Look at you Leon,” Jill said, “You’re doing so well, so good for Carlos.” And Leon whimpered at that, tightening around him just enough to make Carlos groan. Carlos kept still, holding back even as sparks of pleasure raced down his spine.

“Can he move, Leon?” Jill asked, petting over any part of him she could reach. Shoulders, chest, arms, wherever she could make contact with the omega. He shuddered with each pass of palms under his shirt, on heated skin. Leon nodded in response, starting to look desperate.

“Ye-es, please.” He panted out, and Carlos felt relief flood through even him as he pulled back, appreciating the drag as sparks of pleasure raced through him. Leon was so slick, wet and warm. Carlos thrusted back in, testing the waters before he really began. Jill watched Leon carefully, keeping up with his reactions and crooning to him. Carlos shivered when a heated look was directed at him from the alpha.

He moved faster with a grunt as heat pooled in his gut. Leon moaned under him, sounds drawn out and voice cracking. Carlos did his best to hit all the right spots in Leon, encouraged to repeat actions that had him gasping.

“Feel good?” Jill leaned over Leon, looking down at him. Leon nodded, mouth hung open like he was about to start drooling. Carlos let out a soft laugh at the fucked-out expression. He reached down and grabbed Leon’s cock, so far ignored. Leon practically yelped under the grasp, body going stiff under Carlos with a chest-deep groan. Carlos struggled to slow his pace for a second, unsure if that was a positive reaction.

“Nono no! Please, pl-please keep going.” Leon panted, reaching out to Carlos desperately, one hand clawing at Carlos’ hip while the other grabbed at the wrist of the hand holding his cock. Carlos made a hushing sound, startled by the panic creeping into the omega. Carlos leaned down, Leon pulling at him, pressing his face to Leon’s neck in hopes of providing at least some comfort.

“Shh, I gotcha.” He tried to soothe as he picked up their rhythm again. Leon let out a breathy sound under him, shifting so more of his neck was exposed to Carlos. Carlos cautiously licked a stripe along sweaty skin, keeping the pace of his hips going. Pleasure sparked low in his hips, hot and alluring. God, he wasn’t sure how much longer he could keep this up with how good the man felt around him…

Leon moaned enthusiastically at the attention to his neck, probably the loudest he’d been this whole time, and Carlos bit at him with just as much caution as the lick. He was careful not to lick along his scent glands. Leon already had a bonding mark there, indentations of what Carlos could only assume were Chris’ teeth, and he didn’t want to overstep any boundaries.

Leon panted, breathless under him. He tried to shift his hips with Carlos, tried to make it even better for both of them.

“A-Alpha—” He gasped out, and Jill leant down over him again at the call.

“You’re doing so well, omega,” She praised, “So good. You wanna come?” She asked, and Leon nodded with a whine, jostling Carlos back from his neck. Carlos sat up again, pleasure coursing hot through him.

Jill looked up at Carlos with a telling heat in her eyes and Carlos got the hint. He upped his rhythm, grabbed Leon’s cock again to stroke him as in-time as he could manage. Jill curled her hand under Leon’s jaw, forcing him to look up at her and pressing lightly at his throat. Leon moaned, the sound broken off. He gripped blankets under him in a white-knuckled grasp.

Carlos groaned deep in his chest. He was close, so close, he just—

Jill said something to Leon, under her breath and heated. Leon gasped and clenched down hard around Carlos as he came, any groan or moan choked off in his throat by the press of Jill’s hand. The sudden clench around Carlos sent him over, coming in the man under him with a drawn-out groan.

The two of them breathed heavily, Jill running cool hands over Leon’s heated skin as he came down from the high.

Carlos went to pull out, going soft and oversensitive, Leon around him being just a bit too much. He got about halfway out before Leon’s legs wrapped tight around him and the man growled. Carlos was too dazed from his orgasm to do anything but stop moving, stunned into stillness.

Leon leaned up on his elbows, snarling and baring teeth. There was an aggression in his expression and scent that had cold fear zipping down Carlos’ spine for a moment. Then Jill reached out and pushed Leon to lay back down. Her hands were firm even as Leon fought against her, snarled and growled low in his chest.

“Leon, Leon, relax.” She said, looking as surprised as Carlos felt by the sudden shift in attitude. Leon growled again, softer this time, the sound rumbling in his throat, “He’ll stay still, alright Leon? Just relax.”

She ran a hand through Leon’s hair, trying to soothe him. He looked on the verge of snapping at her, but the flame in his eyes was calming.

“Stay put, Carlos, just for now.” And Carlos did as told, not planning on getting growled at again, even as hypersensitivity burned his nerves. Leon relaxed, the grip he had on Carlos’ waist with his legs loosening. He laid his head down against Jill’s thighs again, breath evening out. Jill smiled at him. Leon preened under the attention as she gave him small praises under her breath, looking far more calm now as he settled down again.

“Better?” Jill asked, stroking Leon’s cheek with her thumb. Leon nodded, bending his legs closer to his body and looking down at Carlos.

“Sorry…” He murmured, finally letting Carlos fully pull out. Carlos winced as he was let go, trying to hide it for Leon’s sake. Didn’t want to upset him anymore... Carlos tried to follow Jill’s lead, leaning down to press his face against Leon’s neck, nuzzling against him like a big cat. It felt silly, admittedly, but he knew it helped at least a bit.

“No worries.” He said. Leon pressed into the touch, seeming surprised but more than welcoming the contact. Jill caught Carlos’ attention, asking him to step away to grab a wash cloth. Carlos wet it down as asked and used it to clean up himself and Leon while they had their brief reprieve from his heat.

Jill helped pull Leon’s boxers onto him and laid a blanket over his lap once he was all clean and sleepy, laying down next to him again. He immediately cuddled up to her like before, looking comfortable and relaxed now that a crest of his heat was over.

Leon glanced up expectantly at Carlos who was hovering behind him, a bit unsure. He made a sound in his throat and Carlos could only assume it was one that was asking him to join.

So Carlos found his place pressed close behind Leon again, boxers slid back up his own hips. Leon hummed in front of Carlos, clearly a content sound, eliciting a laugh from Carlos.

Leon fell asleep steadily. Jill looked down at him with nothing short of fondness, deciding to wrap her own arms around him protectively. She looked up at Carlos.

“We’ll need to get more food and water into him when he wakes.” Jill whispered, petting through Leon’s hair. Carlos nodded. Thinking about it, they really didn’t know when the last time Leon ate was before they got to him, so better safe than sorry.

Carlos let himself drift off, Jill more than likely following him into sleep shortly after. He was woken by a grumble, blearily waking. He looked down at Leon, who was awake and pressed close to Jill. There was that rumble again. Carlos was utterly confused for a second until he realized the sound was coming from Leon’s stomach.

Carlos shifted his arm where it was holding Leon, catching his attention. Leon startled, turning to Carlos. Seeing that he was awake, Leon instead turned to press his face into Carlos’ neck, pressing against scent glands. Carlos hesitantly wrapped his arms around him more securely, unable to stifle the laugh that came out of him.

“You hungry?” He asked in a low voice, trying to stay quiet.

“No.” Leon responded sourly, bite to his tone. Carlos frowned. They needed to get him to eat… Maybe Jill could work more of her scent magic on him to get Leon to cooperate.

Carlos reached across Leon, jostling him a tad. He made a confused sound under his breath. Carlos shook Jill’s shoulder to wake her as carefully as he could. She blinked her eyes open, looking at Carlos blearily. Her eyes flickered down to Leon, letting out a laugh at how close he was nestled into the beta as she rubbed at her face sleepily.

Carlos spoke up, leaning back down so he wasn’t disturbing Leon, “Can you do the scent thing again? His stomach is growling but he said he isn’t hungry.” Jill blinked, processing the words before she nodded.

“Alright, Leon,” She started, running a hand down his arm before shifting to grab the half empty water bottle and one of the bars. She opened the wrapper for the bar, holding it out to him. Leon made a sound against Carlos, one the beta couldn’t really decipher with how it was muffled against his skin.

Jill let her scent out, strong and heady. Even Carlos could scent it, domineering. It was a pleasant scent, cool like mint and earthy like freshly rained on dirt. Leon went limp against Carlos, distress seeping into his scent despite Jill’s efforts. He tried to push at Carlos, making bitten off sounds that had worry running through him.

“Can you drink some more water for us?” Jill asked him. Carlos gently guided him to sit up, Leon trying to worm his way to kneeling on top of him as if he could escape the water that way. Carlos gave a soft laugh at the clinging, pushing at Leon until he was sitting up and straddling Carlos’ waist. He slurred out words, not getting them out clearly with Jill’s scent clouding him.

Leon gave a pitiful sound that squeezed at Carlos’ heart. Jill held the water out to Leon, outwardly unaffected by the way he tried to refuse.

“No, I don’t—” Leon started.

“You need to stay hydrated, Leon.” Jill scooted forward. She got near enough to put one hand to the back of Leon’s neck, shifting it up to the back of his head so she was holding him steady as she put the bottle to his lips.

He tried to shift away, Carlos reaching up to hold him steady with a firm grip on his waist. Leon’s face twisted into something more aggressive, a snarl starting to press out of his chest before Jill had more of her own scent flooding the air to stop any anger.

He opened his mouth obediently as that haze fell over him again, prompted by the bottle’s opening tapping against his lips. He drank the water Jill offered him sluggishly. She gave him breaks between to breathe, but refused to give him full reprieve until the bottle was empty.

Leon shuddered as Jill finally pulled the bottle back. A grimace ran over his face and shudder through his body, the tremor felt where Carlos held the omega’s hips.

“Good job, Leon,” She offered. Despite the praise, Leon leaned away from her, barring teeth. Jill frowned, keeping her scent a heavy blanket over his senses to try and ease him into some sense of submission again.

“You just need to eat this. Then Carlos can take care of your next wave of heat.” She bartered. Those words made Carlos finally notice the sweetness in Leon’s scent spiking, finally scenting the arousal seeped into it. Leon shifted to slide off of Carlos, maybe try to see if he could slink away from having to eat. Carlos kept his grip on Leon’s waist firm and unmoving.

Leon looked down at Carlos, almost betrayed. And then his expression darkened and Carlos really thought Leon would bite his head off were he in a better position to do so.

“Just that bar, and then we can get to things.” Carlos tried nervously, patting Leon’s hip placatingly. Leon was an omega in heat. A little weakened, more easily swayed with the right scent and words, but he was still a specially trained government agent that Carlos would hate to have to tussle against. Leon—heat or no heat—would beat him fair and square in any sort of fight.

Leon frowned hard at Carlos’ words, anger morphing to frustration in the blink of an eye. Jill shifted forward again and Leon finally caved. He looked just somber enough to be giving in that Carlos felt a bad. But in the end, it’s better that they get him to eat than have him starve under their care. Chris would kill them if anything happened to his mate under Carlos and Jill’s watch. And that was another person Carlos would rather not have trying to rip him a new one.

Jill gave him the bar, Leon unhappily taking it. It took him a while to get it down, Carlos and Jill both trying to encourage him as best they could. Leon was having worrying shifts between being fine to about to bite at someone to looking on the verge of tears. Carlos had no idea what to do, and Jill didn’t seem to fully know how to control the situation either and ease the omegas growing distress.

Carlos could only attribute a trained government agent near-crying over a breakfast bar to hormones, and this being a particularly rough heat for him. Without his mate and relying on a friend and virtually a stranger to help him through.

Jill and Carlos both gave Leon a few moments to calm down after, slightly distraught over having to eat if his soured scent said anything. They could both still smell the heat on him, sweet and overwhelming if Carlos breathed too deeply. He couldn’t imagine what it smelt like to Jill, nose far more sensitive than his.

Carlos could tell Leon was ready get this new wave of the heat over with once he had recovered from his distress. Leon started breathing a little harder from where he was still sitting right on Carlos’ hips, eyes going a little distant. Leon rolled his hips, drawing a surprised groan out of Carlos.

“Wanna just get to it?” Carlos asked once Leon finally seemed to be feeling it, hands still holding at his hips. Leon nodded enthusiastically, skin hot to the touch.

“Get on with it.” He gasped out. Carlos smirked, pulling himself out of his boxers and not even bothering to slide them down his thighs. He stroked himself a few times, already hard just from Leon’s scent and how he had been sat on Carlos.

He reached his other hand around to run through the slick between Leon’s legs, loving how Leon jolted and pressed down against the fingers. Carlos pushed a finger into Leon, making sure he was still properly stretched.

“You looking to stay on top?” Carlos asked, pulling his fingers out and grinding his cock up, gripping handfuls of Leon’s ass. The man gasped at the teasing, grinding right back down onto Carlos.

“Don’t give a shit,” He gritted out, eyes closed as he put his focus into trying to get Carlos out of his boxers, “Whatever gets you in me fastest.” Carlos laughed.

“Alright pretty boy.” He lined up, helping Leon sink down onto him. Leon let out a long, drawn-out moan, fully seating himself on Carlos’ cock in what felt like record time. Leon stayed still for a few moments, twisting his hips in tight circles, feeling Carlos.

Hot sparks of pleasure ran through the beta, holding himself back until Leon was ready. He was fucking warm, and felt so good. Carlos gripped Leon’s hips tightly, trying to exercise any ounce of self-control.

Carlos turned to look at Jill, feeling like she’d been forgotten in this interaction. She was watching them intently, eyes dark and lidded. Leon followed Carlos’ look, unable to hold back a groan.

“Jill—” He choked out, far more desperate suddenly, flexing muscled thighs to pull himself up from the thick cock inside him and press back down. Jill moved forward without hesitation, hands wandering over Leon’s heated skin. Carlos helped Leon move, thrusting his own hips in time with Leon. So fucking good…

Leon reached out a hand, resting it against Jill’s inner thigh as best he could with the rhythm him and Carlos had built up. Jill had been in her clothes this whole time, unlike Leon who had just a shirt and boxers on for a portion of it and Carlos who just had boxers.

“Alpha—” He got out before a well-aimed thrust from Carlos had him moaning. Carlos preened at the pleasure he gave Leon while Jill smiled slyly. She grabbed Leon’s hand and pressed it more firmly between her legs, over her pants. Leon made a sound, clearly affected and turned on. Carlos paused, grip on Leon’s hips halting his movement.

“I have an idea,” Carlos panted, still holding the omega still. Leon made a displeased sound, trying to fight against Carlos and keep moving to no avail. Jill hushed him as his breathing grew frantic, displeasure at being held still turning to desperation. She turned to Carlos expectantly, brow raised.

Carlos manhandled Leon as he shifted their positions, the agent surprisingly letting him with only a few grumbles. He got Leon’s chest pressed to the nest, hips raised. Leon grunted at the rough handling, twisting his hips back as Carlos pushed his cock back into him with the new position.

Carlos had positioned Leon right between Jill’s legs.

Jill got the idea, stripping off her shirt and pants. She pulled her underwear off, Leon flushed between her legs as he took in the sight of her. Carlos pulled back and thrust into the man under him, making him moan and pushing him further forward.

Leon took the hint, leaning forward to lick at Jill experimentally. Jill reached down and laced a hand through Leon’s sweaty hair, encouraging him by rolling her hips. Carlos closed his eyes, trying to focus on getting back his rhythm instead of watching Leon eat Jill out.

Heat pooled in Carlos’ gut, listening to Jill’s appreciative sighs and feeling Leon warm around him. Leon tightened with every ounce of praise given to him by Jill, saccharine phrases of “good boy” or others along that line making him squirm to the point that Carlos had to get a tight grip on Leon’s hips, his other hand resting on his back.

Carlos pressed down more on Leon’s shoulders, holding him down to the blankets under him and giving just enough leeway so he could keep eating out Jill. She was flushed, eyes a bit glazed over from where she was watching the omega. Apparently, even deep in a heat, he had some skill.

Carlos slowed his pace, grinding in deep and slow. Leon pulled back with a moan, resting his head against Jill’s thigh as Carlos found his prostate and hit it dead on with each push. Jill smirked, brushing back Leon’s bangs.

“You’re so well behaved for us, so good. You gonna come for Carlos? Come again on his cock?” She cooed, and Leon tightened hard with a reedy moan, punching the breath out of Carlos. Carlos sped up his pace again, pleasure hot and low in his gut, reaching under Leon to grab his cock.

He stroked Leon, feeling him tighten and come over Carlos’ hand with a yelp, pushed over the edge. Carlos followed quickly after him, pressing deep into Leon. He stayed inside this time, having learned his lesson the first time, and lowered Leon’s hips down against the nest gently, getting Leon into a more comfortable position.

Leon panted with the aftershocks, pressing his face into Jill’s thigh as he caught his breath.

J—Jill.” He got out weakly. She gave a curious hum in response, still petting over him. Her cunt was wet between her legs between her own arousal and Leon’s spit, but it was clear she hadn’t come. Carlos almost reached forward to offer his hand when Leon moved in again, sucking on her clit. Jill let out a moan of her own, quiet.

A few moments later and she bit her lip, pulling Leon’s messy face away with a firm grip of his hair. Carlos could see the muscles of her stomach twitch and flex, groaning as she came. Her scent was heavy in the air, dominating Leon’s heat scent with her lust. Leon seemed dazed by the scent, seemingly relaxed against the nest now that he had satisfied the alpha.

Carlos finally pulled out with a groan, Leon keening at the feeling.

Jill muttered more bits of praise to Leon, the omega giving breathy hums in response. Carlos took note of how Leon was calm this time, not snapping at either of them like he had the first time.

A few moments of reprieve was felt between them, Carlos thankful that this time ended without incident. And then Leon whined, again sounding so uncharacteristic, distress seeping into his scent. Carlos startled, reaching out hesitantly, unsure what was wrong or how to comfort. Jill cooed to Leon, taking control of the situation with a confidence Carlos admired.

“Need another?” She asked, hand pressed to his face in a caress. Leon was still mostly limp down on the nest but nodded, the movement frantic if not uncoordinated. Jill looked expectantly at Carlos and the puzzle pieces connected for him.

“I’m down for the count right now.” He said in a huff, still catching his own breath. Jill rolled her eyes good naturedly.

“I’ve got you.” She said reassuringly to Leon. She helped him turn over so he was on his back, letting out soft noises at each touch. She ran a hand down his stomach, Carlos watching Leon’s muscles twitch. His cock was hard again and Carlos felt a bit sympathetic towards him. That quick rebound couldn’t be all that pleasant.

Jill slid a hand between his legs, Leon making a soft noise of content and then groaning as she sank fingers in him. Carlos watched the way she was moving her hand, most likely being a drawn-out press over his prostate. Carlos would have his cock in hand were he not recovering still.

Jill leaned down to nip at Leon’s neck, pressing her fingers in earnestly. Leon moved with her, tipping his head so she had easier access. Jill rested a hand over Leon’s neck, feeling the vibrations of ever sound she pulled out of him. The alpha was smirking against his skin, leaving faint bruises with each bite and suck. Leon reached a hand up, gripping tight at her arm as she kept moving, not slowing the pace of her fingers as his moans pitched up.

It was over quick, Leon pressing his head back against the nest, cock twitching and leaking on his stomach as he came. Jill pulled her fingers out, leaving one last harsh bite on his collarbone that had Leon twitching weakly.

Leon breathed in quick pants, looking exhausted. Jill searched around for the cloth they had cleaned up with earlier, wiping Leon down before he fell asleep. He got a grunt out before passing out, reaching a shaking hand out to Jill that she quickly grabbed. She ran her thumb over his knuckles until his eyes fluttered closed.

Once Leon was out she slipped his boxers back on him, throwing a blanket over the sleeping omega. Carlos took the hint and put his own boxers back on, Jill being the last to shrug her top and underwear back on.

“How long do his heats last?” Carlos asked after a few moments of silence, sitting up. Jill looked up from watching Leon’s steady breathing.

She shrugged, “Normally? I think it can range from a few hours to a few days, three max is what I was told. Hopefully this one will be shorter.” She said. Carlos nodded. He waited a moment before speaking up again.

“Are we doing okay?” He asked, looking down at Leon. He looked tired even in sleep, brow creased with discomfort. Jill took a second to consider.

“I think so. I think we’re doing fine. I don’t know… he’s been so good so far, minus those few moments of aggression,” And Carlos nodded, remembering his own surprise after the first coupling, “I think we might see more of that, but hopefully nothing past just grumbles.”

Jill went on, “I don’t think we’re getting him to eat enough though, so when he’s awake again…” She trailed off. Carlos nodded. Between sleeping and however long each crest of heat lasted, it might be the next from when Carlos found Leon. The omega would need to eat. They could worry about that more later…

The two of them got settled, laying down in the nest. Might as well sleep while they could.

Carlos rested, pulled under easily by the warm body next to him.

He woke up to Jill crooning to a muttering Leon. Carlos blinked awake, taking in how Jill was sat up and leaning over Leon, talking to him softly. She had a hand resting low over his stomach, Leon holding his own hand over top hers.

Jill noticed Carlos awake finally, turning to him.

“Go into the kitchen and look for something to heat up, like a water bottle. And get a new rag and wet it down.” Carlos tried to see Leon’s face but was blocked by the curve of Jill’s back.

“Is he oka—”

Jill cut him off, “To the kitchen, Carlos.” She ordered. Carlos got up, hurrying out of the room without anymore questions. The comfort of waking up from sleep was pressed away by worry.

He grabbed a water bottle like she had asked, using the microwave to heat it. It was hot to the touch when it was finished, and he found a hand towel to wrap around it to keep it from burning.

Carlos grabbed a new rag, running it under the sink and wringing it out so it was just damp. He took a moment to notice that it was light out now, seeing the sun through the semi-closed living room curtains. At least a day had passed, hopefully the heat could end soon.

Carlos went back into the master bedroom, Jill and Leon still sitting like they had been when he had left them. Leon made a sound as Carlos stepped back into the nest, Carlos finally able to see his face. His eyes closed tight and face pale.

Jill took the water bottle out of Carlos’ hand before he could even offer it. She pressed it to Leon’s stomach gently, right where her hand had been not a second before. She was still talking to him softly, not baby talk but anything to reassure him from whatever was bothering him. Carlos still had no clue what was going on…

Leon tensed, and then reached up to hold the bottle in place. He relaxed against the nest with a relieved groan as the heat of it sank into him.

Jill reached over and grabbed the rag from Carlos, turning back to Leon and grabbing Leon’s wrist with much more care. She turned his arm so the wrist faced up, Carlos finally noticing the blood on the inside of his arm. Carlos startled, alarmed, watching Jill press the rag to a worryingly deep bite mark.

“What the hell happened?” Carlos asked, trying to keep his voice low and not upset Leon any further. Jill glanced up at Carlos, wiping the blood from Leon’s arm before she pressed it tight to slow the bleeding.

“He got overwhelmed and bit himself, to my understanding.” She responded, defeat seeping into her tone. Carlos internally wilted a bit as he looked at Leon again. They had been doing a good job of caring for him so far, and now this…

Carlos frowned, watching Jill pull away the rag, now covered in blood. Jill still held Leon’s wrist with care, his other hand keeping the bottle pressed to his stomach. He seemed to be feeling just a bit better with the warm bottle, blinking up at the both of them with far more recognition.

Carlos put the hints together. Leon was struggling through the cramps that came with a heat crest ignored too long. That’s what the warm bottle was for, the help ease the pain. Shame washed over Carlos.

Leon tried to move the arm that Jill held, hissing at the sting of pain when he flexed his wrist.

“Hold still, hold still. I’m gonna patch you up.” Jill reached over, somehow having gotten her hands on a small first aid kit. She pulled out an alcohol wipe, opening the little package it was in before running it carefully over the bite. Leon grit his teeth with a wince. Jill grabbed a band aid, big enough to cover the bite. She put it on gently, making sure the skin was cleaned off and wound fully covered.

Jill finally let go of Leon’s arm, putting his hand on the water bottle with the other. He took hold of the bottle, hands flexing on it as he kept it pressed to his lower stomach. Carlos could pick up on the pain in his scent now, lingering even as it slowly faded as he relaxed.

“Better?” Jill asked caringly. She ran a hand through Leon’s sweaty hair, carefully pushing strands out of his face. He nodded tiredly, pressing into the touch.

Leon glanced down at his own arm and the bandage, a cringe running across his face.

“Sorry.” Leon puffed out, closing his eyes tight as he seemed to fight off another bout of pain. Carlos frowned, wanting to comfort but unsure if it was his place to do so. Jill shook her head hurriedly at Leon, brows furrowing.

“Don’t apologize. We should be taking care of you.” She said earnestly. Leon frowned, trying to press close to her. It seemed like he wanted to say something more, Jill and Carlos waiting patiently. But in the end he closed his mouth. They sat with him, smelt his scent warming and sweetening.

Leon bit at his lip and frowned. His scent spiked hard and Carlos could tell his heat was peaking again. He helped Leon through another crest of his heat, setting the water bottle aside. He moved slow and deliberate to draw it out, being careful with Leon’s tender arm. Leon responded sweetly, pliant and relaxed under Carlos. Jill talked him through it, Leon noticeably lacking energy and Carlos trying to be accommodating.

Carlos praised him too, mimicking Jill, enjoying how Leon moved under him and responded. Carlos kept them close to one another, leaning down to give Leon as much skin to skin contact as he could. Carlos kept a warm hand low on Leon’s stomach, hoping his nickname of “human furnace” could come to use and help keep Leon from being in pain.

Carlos gave Leon a few hickies, making his own marks to add to all the ones Jill had left. Leon tilted his head, giving Carlos more access with an appreciative groan. Carlos leaned back, pleasure sparking down his spine and alighting his nerves. He came inside Leon again, making sure he omega followed shortly after with a moan.

Everything was fine, post-orgasm haze comfortable.

And then Leon growled at Carlos like he had before, bared his teeth. Carlos froze, unsure of what to do in the face of the agent’s aggression yet again. Leon snarled in his face and Carlos really thought for a moment that Leon was going to lash out.

But then Jill hurriedly got Leon back down and calm with some words and a forceful press on his shoulders, holding him to the nest. He stopped pushing against her after a few tense moments, and Carlos got to pull back and start wiping them down, uncertain. Leon seemed on edge, not calming like he had the first time this had happened. The growl stayed in his chest this time, teeth sharp and on display. Jill kept him held down and didn’t seem keen on letting go anytime soon.

He glared at Carlos as he helped him get dressed again, let out a snarl at Jill who let him up to once more try and get him to drink water. He was still pale and his lips were dry, in need of anything to drink after the few waves of heat.

“Drink half, then you can rest.” Jill said. Her tone was firm, trying not to give Leon any leeway to fight back. Carlos could tell she was hesitant to use force with him in either tone or actions, but Leon was getting more and more keyed up and volatile and the priority was his health.

Leon resisted continued to resist, backing away from the both of them and getting himself further towards the wall. He looked like a cornered animal and Carlos felt worry.

Jill let out a sigh, eyebrows furrowing as she cracked, unable to keep up the front of sternness, “Leon, please, it’s for the best.” And Leon seemed to bristle at that. With a frown, Jill turned to Carlos. She nodded her chin to Leon as subtly as she could. Carlos got the hint, begrudgingly shifting towards Leon.

Distracted by Jill, Carlos had a chance to grab Leon’s arms, trapping them against the omegas waist. Leon made a surprised sound, twisting his head to glare at Carlos. He immediately tried to fight against the grip.

Carlos held strong, Leon noticeably—if not worryingly—weakened from the heat. Jill came close to them with the bottle open in hand and Leon shut his mouth when she got within reach of him. Carlos watched with a frown as Jill grabbed Leon’s chin, squeezing his jaw until he was forced to open his mouth with a whine.

She tipped his head back with the firm grasp of his face, tilting the bottle to give him the water. He sputtered for just a second, fighting against the both of them. He finally gave in much to Carlos’ brief relief, the omega seeming to realize what a disadvantage he was at. Jill took advantage of his brief obedience to make him drink the whole bottle, not stopping until he was finished.

Jill finally pulled back and Leon started to fight against Carlos again, growling in earnest once more. Jill grabbed one of the jelly packets, undeterred by Leon’s growls and grabbed his face hard yet again. She had him to eat the jelly, just needing a moment of coaxing before he went lax again. He twitched in Carlos’ grip. Carlos could smell the distress on him this close, the smell making his stomach churn.

Jill moved back and Carlos finally let up his hold on Leon, releasing him. Leon pulled himself out of Carlos’ reach in an instant, looking nauseous. Carlos felt… bad. But they needed to keep him from starving. Carlos turned to Jill who looked similarly upset.

Leon whined, the sound broken up and hitched, still pressing himself away from both of them. He shook, clearly overwhelmed. Jill tried to reach out to him and he jerked away from her touch, breathing picking up and scent souring impossibly further. Jill looked hurt, but grabbed Carlos and dragged the both of them fully out of the nest.

Leon seemed to start calming once they were out. His breathing evened as he pressed himself to lean back against the wall, keeping the both of them in view as if they were a threat to him. He passed out like that, exhaustion overtaking him once more.

When he was fully asleep and not at risk of waking again Jill sighed.

“That took a turn for the worst.” She mumbled. Carlos let the silence linger between them for a moment. He… he had no idea what to say. They sat in tense silence.

Neither of them wanted to just go to sleep in case he hurt himself again. Jill took a bottle of water to herself and offered some to Carlos. She eventually suggested that they sleep in short shifts so someone would be awake at all times for Leon. Carlos agreed after a moments hesitation and Jill insisted on taking the first waking shift.

Carlos begrudgingly slept first, knowing he wouldn’t be able to talk Jill into switching. He was woken up about forty minutes later. Carlos let Jill sleep next, turning down her insistence that he go back to sleep. He really didn’t know if he could, too wound up by everything.

Carlos watched Leon twist and twitch in his sleep, discomfort painfully clear. Carlos waited, knowing Leon was probably waking up soon. A few minutes later and Leon was blinking awake, scent sweet even to Carlos’ nose. He groaned in something closer to pain than pleasure.

Leon looked at Carlos, eyes a bit hazy, and reached out to him. Carlos hesitantly invited himself back into the nest, still a weary of closeness after the earlier aggression. But Leon seemed needy now and was coming to Carlos for help rather than Jill, so it would probably be okay. Hopefully.

“Woah, okay, calm down,” Carlos tried to soothe as Leon urged him closer with more desperation. Leon started trying to pull off his own boxers, grumbling to himself as he struggled to get them off his hips.

Carlos tried to contain a laugh watching Leon fumble. He seemed to be doing so much better now, color back in his face. Carlos helped Leon wriggle out of his own clothes first with a soft, “Relax.”  He leaned over Leon, pulling his own boxers down, used to the routine by now. Leon made a soft sound as Carlos got his hands on Leon, holding him steady.

Carlos was slow with Leon, pressing into him gently. He leaned down to mouth at Leon’s neck, knowing now that it was something he liked. Leon moaned under him, tried to move with Carlos in languid shifts of his body.

“You’re doing so well.” Carlos crooned to him in place of Jill as he started thrusting in, pace steady. She was still resting and Carlos wasn’t going to wake her if he didn’t have to. Leon panted breathily, a moan escaping him with every steady drag.

Carlos pressed his cock into Leon, trying to make this as good of an experience as possible. Hitting the sweet spots, dragging out the pleasure as best he could. Everything was going perfect, Leon relaxed and responsive under him like a proper heat. Carlos was attentive, doing what Leon reacted to the best, pleasure hot in his own gut with each of Leon’s breathy sounds.

And then there was a shift. Leon growled and Carlos startled. Jill wasn’t there this time to stop Leon from leaning up and sinking dull teeth into Carlos’ shoulder with a snarl.

Carlos jolted at the sharp pain, letting out a small “shit!” at the bite. Carlos got a hand under Leon’s chin, pushing hard enough to force Leon to let go. Carlos shoved Leon’s face back by his chin, exposing his neck and keeping his teeth far away from Carlos’ skin.

Leon whimpered, attitude shifting again and just as rapidly, reaching up to grasp with shaking hands at Carlos’ wrist, desperately trying to get him to let go.

“What the fuck.” Carlos breathed, disoriented from the change and the pain now in his shoulder. He turned to look down at his now sluggishly bleeding bite mark. He could smell Leon’s scent, taking it in carefully now and able to register the coppery smell of aggression. Or maybe that was just his shoulder.

Jill startled awake, looking around as the anger and blood scents hit her.

“Wha—Leon?” She called blearily.

“Here.” Carlos said in a quick breath. He was still in Leon. And somehow still hard. He watched Leon’s chest rise and fall rapidly, clawing at Carlos’ wrists.

Jill turned towards them, finally registering them sitting in the nest next to her. She made a face, her own scent bittering angrily.

“Carlos what the hell, let him go!” She moved to get up, leaning over to pull Carlos’ hands off of Leon.

Before she could reach him he spoke up, “Jill, he fucking bit me.” He gestured to his shoulder with his chin and watched as her eyes widened. Leon made another sound, something low and distressed.

“What the fuck happened?” She asked. Carlos shook his head, shifting his hips to be positioned more comfortably. Leon moaned softly under him at the movement. Carlos ignored it for now, trying to overlook the pleasure sparking through his hips.

“Damned if I know, it was fine and then he growled and bit me.” He felt bad that he was talking about Leon like this while the man was under him. The omega was still hard too, clearly aroused. But his hands were shaking and Carlos was unsure if he should pull out and stop or keep going.

Jill looked between them, clearly confused. She moved to kneel right by Leon’s head, leaning over him. Carlos couldn’t see his face with how he was pressing at his chin, just reading his emotions as best he could based on body language and scent. And neither of those boded well.

“Why did you bite Carlos?” She asked, voice stern. Leon wriggled under Carlos.

“I don’t know—” He got out, sounding frustrated. He pushed at Carlos’ hands again and Carlos steeled himself enough to keep from budging. Jill made a face.

“I think you do.” She tried. Leon growled, almost as if the sound were directed more towards himself than the people around him.

“I don’t know! I don’t fucking know,” The words came out breathily, “I wish I knew,” A whine, “But I—I—” He stopped, tense and clearly uncomfortable. Jill struggled for words, the anxiety visible on her face from what Carlos could see.

“I’m sorry, it’s okay. You don’t need to explain.” She tried. Leon still growled, scent so coppery it made Carlos scowl.

“I’m sorry, I don’t get it either.” He said, voice cracking as if he were about to cry. Jill bit her lip, brows furrowing. She pushed her minty scent out for lack of a better idea. Thankfully Leon relaxed, the tension in his body dropping significantly. He breathed erratically under Carlos. Carlos eased up on pushing Leon away from him, instead just keeping a loose grip on his jaw to stop Leon if he surged forward.

Carlos tried to ignore the blood spread over Leon’s mouth, down his chin. It was already partially dried.

“Leon, calm down,” Jill said, petting at his hair again, “It’s okay, you don’t need a specific answer,” She said. Carlos saw tears of distress well up in Leon’s eyes.

Leon didn’t respond, just looking unendingly frustrated. He growled again, but once more it didn’t feel directed at either Jill or Carlos. They were all quiet for a moment, letting Leon process and calm down.

“Do you want Carlos to keep going?” Jill asked. Leon hesitated, then gave a short nod.

“Yes...” He said, emotion strong in his voice. Carlos dropped his hand completely, getting a cautious hold on Leon’s hip instead.

He hesitantly started up his pace again, shoulder aching but deeming to ignore it. They finished with no more issues, just slight tension between Leon and the other two. The omega’s heat seemed to calm after Carlos came, keeping his legs tight around the beta to keep him inside.

Leon reached up to Carlos and Carlos almost pulled back—having been burnt one too many times now—if not for the look of shame that crossed Leon’s face. Carlos made a frantic sound despite himself, leaning down to press himself chest to chest with Leon. Leon waited a moment before wrapping his arms around Carlos. Leon shifted, lathing his tongue over the bite mark now on Carlos’ shoulder.

Carlos’ heart melted a little. Leon felt bad, clearly. This was a hard heat for him, not that the others seemed to be much better. The bite would heal, hopefully not scar. Carlos could forgive, especially if Leon seemed so regretful.

Jill was talking to Leon softly, distress still underlying in his scent but slowly relaxing between being allowed to lick at Carlos’ injury and listening to Jill. He finally let Carlos go, the beta pulling back and wincing at the now gross mess of slick and cum.

Carlos reached for their rag, wiping Leon down with care before throwing it off to the side, not to be used again. Leon warily wormed his way as close to Jill as he could, tucked into her side with his nose pressed to her neck. She spoke softly to him, things Carlos couldn’t hear. Leon’s lip wobbled a few times and Carlos wished he could hear what Jill said to her.

Carlos invited himself to curl up behind Leon, the omega warm but noticeably not as warm as he had been hours ago. Hopefully the heat was slowing down.

Leon seemed appreciative of the closeness Carlos allowed him after the bite, humming with every bit of skin contact Carlos gave him. Carlos was surprised Leon didn’t start purring with how pleased he seemed that Carlos was still interacting with him. Maybe the omega in him worried that Carlos would reject him as a heat partner after the outburst. Carlos nuzzled into Leon, trying to reassure him that he was still here for him.

Leon rested for another hour, maybe a bit longer, Jill and Carlos taking shifts sleeping again. He woke up with his scent bitter with pain, and Carlos took a second to leave and heat up the water bottle they were using to ease any cramps. Leon looked more than relieved to see Carlos coming back after he had went to the kitchen. The omega appreciatively held the warm bottle to his waist, looking far less pained.

He turned to Carlos as the beta settled back down into the nest, nosing against his neck with a few appreciative huffs. He slipped into sleep again at Carlos’ soft scent and Carlos breathed a sigh of relief at any crisis averted. Jill woke up not long after, checking on Leon to make sure he was okay. She saw the new water bottle, felt the lingering warmth of it, and Carlos could tell she was worried.

“It was fine,” He assured her, catching her attention before she spiraled, “Nothing bad happened.” He said. Jill looked down at Leon again.

Then back up at Carlos, “You’re doing a great job,” She said earnestly, “I appreciate your help. Really, I do. And I’m sure Leon does, and Chris.” She finished. Carlos was stunned for a moment.

Then he gave a smile, rubbing at the back of his neck, “Aw, you’re gonna make me blush.” He said. Jill rolled her eyes good naturedly, pushing his shoulder. Carlos took his turn to nap, curling up behind Leon.

It was late in the afternoon when Carlos woke up again. And he woke to see Jill perched over Leon, hand between his legs yet again for this heat. Leon was twitching against the blankets, groaning deep in his chest. Carlos woke up quickly after that, watching them intently.

Leon laid a shaky hand over Jill’s thigh. She raised a brow at him, pausing the movement of her own hand. Leon licked his lips, looking up at her with a clear question in his eyes. She smirked in turn, pulling her hand back to oh-so-slowly pull off her underwear. Leon glanced down between her legs, arousal spiking heavy in his sweet scent.

Carlos watched the two quietly, not wanting to disrupt.

He shifted his own hand between her legs, rubbing her clit in slow circles. Jill let out a breath, pressing herself harder into his touch. Leon kept up his pace, and Jill reached back between Leon’s own legs to press her fingers into him again. Leon gasped, at the touch, his own hand pausing before he remembered to continue.

And then they were getting each other off, Leon dipping his fingers between Jill’s folds, fingering her properly. She inched her thighs open more, encouraging Leon with a fluid roll of her hips. He encouraged her right back with moans and gasps.

Jill had Leon coming quickly, tensing and groaning as he came. Jill gave a roll of her hips after a moment, reminding Leon of her own pleasure as he faltered. Leon sat up further, moving his hand sluggishly as he came down from his high. He leaned in to suck a mark against her collarbone. Jill bit at her lip, resting her own hand against the back of his neck to hold him there.

She came a moment later, muscles tensing and letting out a breathy moan. Leon pulled his fingers out, still marking her neck and chest. She eventually pulled him back with a tight grip in his hair, smirking as he keened lowly at the pull.

Carlos gave a short whistle and both of them turned to him, Leon looking a bit wild in a satiated way. Jill shook her head at Carlos and Leon flashed a grin that Carlos was more than happy to see after the rough heat. They let Leon lay back against the nest and rest. They got him to drink and eat more, little issue with it this time as Leon seemed more himself. Or, what Carlos assumed was his normal self.

They relaxed, Jill taking some time to rest while Carlos cuddled up to Leon who couldn’t seem to fall asleep again. They didn’t talk, just laid together. Carlos smelt Leon’s arousal as it picked up sweetly a bit later. It wasn’t as strong as it had been times before, blown-out heat scent growing weaker. Hopefully, and Carlos really prayed, this would be the last round.

He let Leon slide on top of him, helping him get seated on Carlos’ cock. Leon moaned on top of him, resting his hands on Carlos’ chest for balance. Carlos smirked up at him as he got a grip on Leon’s waist, dragging him up and pulling him back down in a quick thrust.

Carlos helped him through what was hopefully the final crest. Leon’s energy was clearly wilting again, needing more than a little help to keep up the pace him and Carlos set. Jill woke up at some point during, taking a spot next to Leon and talking him through it, trying to help him finish sooner.

It was over thankfully quick, Leon groaning as Carlos pressed into him hard for the final time. And then Leon slid off of him, not even forcing Carlos to stay inside to the point of overstimulation, and got settled against the pillow and blankets of the nest with a steady breath.

“All okay?” Jill asked him, a hand running over his arm in a caress. Leon huffed, giving a nod.

“I think it’s over. Thank God.” He got out, still breathing hard. Carlos gave a small laugh.

“I hope so too, I’m tired.” He said, laying back with his hands behind his head and giving a faux yawn. Jill rolled her eyes at them.

Leon’s heat really was over, and his scent went back to what Carlos assumed was his normal citrus scent. And with it his mood went back to what Carlos assumed his normal attitude was.

They relaxed the rest of the day, Leon far more inclined to eat and drink now that the heat wasn’t telling him he’d get sick if he hydrated and ate. Leon took a moment to shower once he was comfortable leaving his nest, complaianing about being drenched in sweat and dried cum. Carlos scoffed before realizing he was exaggerating.

Jill and Carlos took their own turns separately after Leon finished with the shower, Carlos getting some alone time properly with Leon for the first time ever while Jill showered.

And Jill was right, as she had warned him before this whole… adventure. Leon was a bit rude. He had gotten brief glimpses of his monotone humor during the heat, but not much. Leon thankfully had the wherewithal to make it clear when he was joking or pulling Carlos’ leg. Carlos got a kick out of it, honestly.

Jill and Carlos stayed the night—and the next day—taking care of Leon while he recovered and got back his strength. He was weak, whined about how he could barely get to the kitchen table without breathing hard after.

Jill cleaned Carlos’ bite wound for him, and Leon always seemed a bit ashamed to see it. Carlos did what he could to let Leon know it was okay, there was nothing to be upset about. It was hard to do that when Leon clearly didn’t want to acknowledge it.

Jill took some time to get into contact with Chris, who was finally on his way back from his mission. He would be back by the end of the day, so Carlos and Jill stuck out the last few hours with Leon, ordering food and sitting around together. Making sure Leon was okay.

The omega eventually moved into his and Chris’ bed, abandoning the nest and inviting Carlos and Jill to lie down next to him. They turned on some show to watch and chattered over it, Leon cracking jokes that had Jill and Carlos both keeling over in laughter.

As the day neared ending Leon started looking impatiently at the door from time to time, and Jill and Carlos both understood why. Chris should be here by now… The two did what they could to keep Leon’s mind off it.

About halfway through a season of some dress show Carlos had never heard of until then, there was a knock at the door. Leon tensed with anticipation, attention completely away from the TV. Jill excused herself to answer it. There was a fast speaking voice, quick talk, and then Chris was barreling into the room, streaked with grime and dirt. Leon wrinkled his nose even as he got up to greet his partner, movement a bit frantic as he untangled himself from the beds blankets.

“Leon.” Chris breathed out, sounding utterly relieved. Leon let himself get pulled into a hug even as Chris’ mess was smeared onto him.

“Chris.” He huffed out, melting into the hug. Chris pulled back, looking him over. He smiled when he seemed to find no injuries or ailments in his partner, and Leon gave a fond little smile back. Carlos felt for a moment that he might need to leave and give the two a moment. Jill came back in right as Carlos braced himself to get up.

And then Chris turned to the two of them, pulling Leon close again.

“Thank you both,” He said, sounding tired, “I don’t know what we would have done if you two weren’t here.” Carlos gave a smile.

Jill spoke up and moved to stand next to Carlos, “Of course. I wouldn’t have agreed to be an emergency contact for these things if I wasn’t willing to help.” She said. Chris smiled, still holding his partner. Leon just seemed content to be in Chris’ presence again, relishing in being able to hold his made.

“We appreciate it Jill, Carlos.” He nodded to them both. Carlos shrugged, playing it cool.

“It’s all good man. I mean, you might need to buy me some dinner or something, but I’m happy to help.” Leon laughed at him.

“Yeah, some of that was rough, we really might owe you.” And that got a laugh out of Jill. Jill talked to Chris a bit more, asking if there was anything else the couple needed before the alpha and beta left. Chris declined, thanking them again with a shocking amount of sincerity.

And then Jill and Carlos left with a few goodbyes, Leon clearly sad to see them go even as he tried to cover it. He waved to them both as they walked down the hall, a small smile over his face as he went back into his home and closed the door.

“Well, that was… something.” Carlos said as he walked beside Jill down the hall.

“It was. Thanks for sticking with me to help him. That probably would have been so much worse without you.” She said honestly. Carlos smiled.

“Yeah dude. Thanks for trusting me to help. I know that was a really serious thing.” He responded. Jill gave him a nod, flashing him an endeared smile. The quiet was comfortable between the two of them as they made their way down a set of stairs. They got to the parking garage, about to go their separate ways.

“See you at work tomorrow?” Carlos asked. Jill scoffed.

“I’m taking at least day of post-heat leave. I need a break.” She said good naturedly. Carlos laughed.

“That’s not a bad idea.” He responded. Jill waved him off with a goodbye and they both got into their respective cars.

Carlos got settled in his seat, letting out a sigh.

Well. That was definitely a way to meet someone new. Carlos hoped he could see Leon again soon. In a more casual setting would be appreciated, though. Carlos started his engine and pulled out of the garage, heading home for a long, well deserved nap.
