Work Text:

Matt was trying to clean up his office. He was always busy and in a rush that the once lovely office was now a big mess. He doesn't think he cleaned it even once since getting it. Is being a vigilante a good enough excuse? Probably not.

Matt started to organize the stuff in his drawers which had more junk than actual documents or office supplies. No wonder Foggy has been complaining about how he can't find anything in there. Matt always uses the 'I'm blind' excuse but after a while it isn't that effective.

Someone knocked on his window.

Okay fine Matt knows exactly who it is since he had been hearing him climbing up the building's wall for the last 15 minutes.

Wade Wilson aka Deadpool.

Matt doesn't even feel bad for the tired and sweaty man. Who told him he can't just use the door like a normal person? Not that Wade was ever close to being normal.

Matt turned away from the drawers and walked to the window. He opened it in silence. If you're confused why he would do such a thing, it's because he's kind of broke right now and fixing broken windows is expensive. Suing Wade wasn't an option either. Believe him, he tried. Four times.

"Heya Red! What a surprise to find you here!" Wade climbed into the room ungracefully, almost knocking out a plant. Which was dead for the last week. He really needs to take care of that.

"This is my office."

"What a coincidence, right?" Wade laughed nervously. Something was bothering him.

Deadpool looked around, noticing the state of the office. "Jeez, buddy. And I thought you're the most put together out of us."

Matt sighed. Oh how he wished that was true.

"Wade, I'm kind of working. So, if this is vigilante business you better make it fast."

"Aren't you your own boss?"

"I mean I guess but that doesn't-"

"When boss yourself to take a break or something."

Matt took a breath. Fine. He knew he couldn't get rid of him without alerting the whole building. Especially Foggy or Karen.

The blind man walked past Wade and sat in his chair, motioning with his head for Wade to do the same.

The merc throwed himself at the definitely not prepared office chair, making it crackle. Great, he probably needs a new chair too.

"Peter asked me out."

"He did what?"

Is Matt surprised? Not really, no. You don't need to hear heartbeats to know Deadpool loves Spider-man. But you do need to hear heartbeats to know Spider-man feels the same.

Matt knew the two men were in love for probably longer when they admitted that to themselves. But he didn't expect for them to act on it so soon. He thought for such idiots like them it'll take at least ten years. And that’s if you’re being optimistic.

Deadpool shifted in his seat. It was hard for him to sit still, he was the always moving and doing something type.

"Honestly I have no idea how it happened." Wade started to talk, which Matt knew will turn into a way too long story. "Yesterday we were on patrol together. Y'know swinging and fighting and all that. When, as usual, we bought some junk food and hung out on the roof. You can't see the stars from there cause New York buuut it does have a pretty nice view of the city. I don't really remember what we talked about. I probably was spitting some nonsense like always. Wait I remember! I think I was telling him that slugs have four noses. That's crazy right? Why do they need so many? I didn't think they even had one to be honest. In the middle of that he interrupted me, which fine, maybe talking about slugs isn't really fun when you're eating. But he out of nowhere asked me on a date. I would like to say I was smooth and said something clever but I think some of the burrito fell out of my mouth. And when he just stared at me. Until his eyes went wide and his face turned red. The nerves clearly caught up with him and it was kind of adorable but never tell him that. Or maybe I already told him that… I don’t really remember what the fuck I was babbling about after he said that. But anyways, long story short he asked me out, I barely managed to say 'yes' and it's tonight. Tonight, Matt." Wade leaned over the desk for dramatic effect. "We're going to get dinner, like an actual nice dinner, and I'm panicking!" He emphasized the last bit of his sentence.

Wade leaned back on his chair, finally done with his rambling. "Pheew, I already feel a little bit better. You're such a good listener, Matty."

The lawyer just hummed at that. He had no interest to be Wade's therapist and he had work to do.

Matt fixed his red glasses. "Eh congratulations? Not sure what you want from me here."

Wade slapped his forehead. "No! You have to tell me if I'm making a mistake right now!"

"Why would I know that?"

Wade scoffed, loudly, and leaned closer to Matt once again, putting his elbows on the desk, his hands just an inch from Matt's face.

"I know you know things. Don't pretend you don't! You have that whole 'I know everyone’s secrets but that's not my business' vibe." He stated with confidence. "I might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but it's a fact you're the all-knowing silent type."

Wade put his hands as if he's praying, "And I need your wisdom, sensei."

Matt rolled his eyes, "Okay calm down." He sighed. Nothing bad will happen if he will help them out a little, right? It's the least he could do. "You're not making a mistake. Here. Happy?"

Wade didn't respond right away, as if considering something in his mind.

"Do you want to elaborate on that?" He said eventually.

Matt groaned. "What is this? Highschool? You want to gossip about our crushes and trade secrets?"

The blind man was clearly sarcastic but Wade still grinned a half smile. "Sure! That sounds fun! I saw Foggy working through the window. I can see why you like him. Such a sweet smart man-"

"Don't turn this on me. And for God’s sake leave Foggy alone."

"Oooh so protective." Wade teased.

Matt crossed his arms and leaned back on his chair to be more away from Wade.

Deadpool fell silent, once again in his own thoughts.

Matt thought he needed to snap him back into reality when Wade suddenly spoke.

"It's just hard to believe he would like me."

His voice was quieter than usual, like maybe he wasn't supposed to say that out loud. Or he was embarrassed to admit it.

Matt straightened up in his chair. "Would you believe me if I said he does?"

Wade laughed nervously. "Probably not."

"Then I'm sure he'll convince you on your date tonight." Matt smiled softly at the now quiet merc. Sure, he's annoying and a pain in his ass but he's still his friend. Unfortunately, that means some part of his brain cares about Deadpool.

"You will go, right?" Matt added when Wade didn't respond.

"Passing up a date with Spidey? Never." Wade was back to his normal loud-and-proud self, once again fiddling in his chair.

"Good. Now can I go back to cleaning this mess?" Matt gestured to his office.

"That's what you were doing? I thought you were trying the homeless aesthetic."

Matt glared at him.

"Okay! Fine I'm going now." He stepped to the window and opened it. "See? I'm going! No need to go all murdery on me."

Deadpool jumped through the window and Matt could hear him hitting the sidewalk with a grunt of pain. He probably broke his ankle if not the whole leg. That man just had to make his life harder.

Once he closed the window, Matt returned to clearing out his drawers. But the thought of what just happened couldn't leave his mind.

Are Wade and Peter actually...?

He snorted to himself.

Knowing them, it won't be that simple.

Daredevil punched the robber, making him stumble and hit the wall. A woman tried to surprise him from behind but Matt quickly grabbed the gun pointed at him and throwed it on the ground. The woman let out a gasp before she was kicked in her ribs and fell to the ground.

"Don't go on them too hard. They're only henchmen." Spider-man glanced at the two robbers laying on the ground.

The hero was a few feet behind him, mainly just webbing every robber to the ground. He always tried to avoid violence as much as he could. Matt learned that it can't be avoided but he tried to respect Peter’s wishes. His optimism was naive but... admirable.

"They made this choice. Now they have to face the consequences." Matt said before stopping a third robber from grabbing the gun on the ground. A simple kick on the knees was enough for him to fall on the ground too, hissing in pain.

"You don't know anything about their lives." Spider-man bit back. "And I think they're already rethinking their life choices, right guys?"

The only response he got was a loud grunt of man trying to get a jump at him. Spidey rolled his eyes and webbed his legs to the floor, leaving him in an awkward position, swinging his arms in the air trying to not fall over.

Matt gave him a pointed look.

"Okayyy changing the subject." Peter lightly pushed the webbed man and he fell on his knees. "Do you think Wade likes flowers? I know it really doesn't seem like his thing but it's Wade so who knows what is his thing." He webbed up the man’s hands to the floor as well and looked at his creation, snorting to himself. The robber was now on all fours, glaring at him.

Matt smirked. Peter tried to sound so casual while he could feel how nervous about the question he actually was.

"Why do you ask?" Matt asked innocently.

"Oh uh just a thought." Peter rubbed the back of his neck. "You seem to know these things."

Why does everyone keep saying that?

"I don't remember knowing his flower choices." Matt answered truthfully. It would be a blessing if Wade would smell like daisies and not gun powder, blood and sweat.

"Yeah uh that makes sense." Peter almost mumbled, not like that effected Matt much.

All of the robbers were webbed or laying on the ground. The two vigilantes could finally catch their breaths.

It was clear Spider-man wanted to say something else. Matt could just hear his mouth opening and closing again.

Daredevil sighed. "Just say it."

"Say what?" Peter's voice rose just a little.

"Whatever it is on your mind."

Peter looked around, talking about his love life in front of twenty beaten up criminals probably wasn't ideal. "I... I think- Me and Wade went out last night." He managed to say. "But not like friends but like- We went on a date." He quickly added.

Of course, Matt knew that already. Maybe Wade wasn't the best source of information but Matt was always good at recognizing lies.

He tried to keep in the chuckle bubbling at his throat. Just yesterday Wade was looking the same - nervous, jittery and so unsure of himself. And now Peter was the same, even though he tried to hide it.

"How did that go?" Matt was actually curious a bit. What? He can be nosy sometimes.

"I think it was great. We even- wait." Peter stopped himself mid-sentence. "You're not, I don't know, surprised by that? I mean I went on a date with Deadpool." Spider-man said it like that was the weirdest thing to ever happen in the world. And maybe it was.

"You said it yourself. I know things." Matt smirked mysteriously.

Peter frowned. He hated when Matt did that.

"I have no idea how I even asked him." He sighed and grabbed a random phone from the ground. "I wanted to ask him for a while but I always expected for him to make the first move. I mean he's the one who wrote an entire poem about my ass. But I guess he's more talk than action." He sent the address of the bank to the police, not bothering to call. "And then one night I just... I'm usually the plan-all-the-possible-outcomes guy but I just blurted out a 'Do you wanna go out with me?' and stared at him like an idiot." Peter dropped the phone back on ground, his thoughts somewhere else. "I've never seen Wade so quiet. I was beginning to plan all the ways of how to get out of there and convince him it was just a hallucination." He chuckled, clearly seeing the memory. "But then... Wade said yes. I didn't expect for that to feel so good. Oh god we said goodbye to each other so awkwardly afterwards. I didn't know what to do with myself. It was like high school all over again." Peter cringed. "But the date was great! I was afraid the awkwardness would continue but we acted as always. Honestly, I haven't had such a nice evening in a while. Though I'm pretty sure we won't be allowed into that restaurant after that wine incident." He chuckled once again. "Oh, and can you believe he wore a tuxedo? Like over his Deadpool suit? It was adorable and a little bit hot but mostly adorable. I looked like a broke college student but he didn't seem to mind."

It was only now that the hero realized he's been talking way too much and for way too long.

"Sorry about that. I don't know where that came from." Peter chuckled awkwardly.

"It's fine."

The police were already on the way. Usually they would be already far from here by this time but Spider-man’s rambling changed their routine a bit.

"Let's move. We have three minutes." Daredevil warned before climbing the fire escape to the roof. When he got to the top, Spider-man was already there, sitting on the edge and looking into the distance.

Matt sat beside him. "I can just feel your overthinking."

Peter sighed and leaned on his hands. "How could I not? Wade is... Wade. And I have no idea how to deal with this. With us."

"Well, you seemed to handle it just fine before."

"I didn't think about kissing him before."

Peter clearly didn't mean to say that out loud and his face went warm.

Matt huffed a laugh. "I can't help you with that but I can say that if there's anyone who sees him - it's you, Pete." He squeezed the smaller man’s shoulder. "I'm sure you both will figure it out."

Matt could hear everything so much clearer and louder from the roofs. Like a flood of sounds trying to overwhelm him, trying to make him fall down on his knees, hands covering his ears, and scream at the top of his lungs. But that was the past. Now the sounds were like an old friend greeting him with a polite smile. Who knows what that smile hides.

That's why Matt almost missed when Spider-man whispered, "You think we could work?"

Almost.

Matt had to stop himself from chuckling again. "Do you want it to?" He unconsciously lowered his voice as well.

"Of course I do." He blushed again.

Matt gave him a small smile. "Then I don't see why not."

"Yeah... Yeah okay." Peter said absent-mindlessly.

Daredevil stood up from his spot. "I think I'll call it a night for today. I have a court case in like five hours."

Peter just nodded, forgetting how that gesture fell flat for the blind man.

Before Matt started to climb down, he turned to Peter for one more time.

"By the way, the only plant Wade could take care of is a cactus."

It was two weeks after Peter and Wade's first date.

Matt was drinking in his favorite (and most affordable) bar Josie's.

Foggy sighed in his stool. "Man, I need a vacation."

"You can always go visit your parents."

"Ugh." Foggy gave Matt a scowl. "I said a vacation, not an interrogation on why my life is a shit hole right now."

Matt took a drink of his whiskey. "Don't be such a drama queen. We're doing better these days."

Foggy grabbed some nuts from the bowl.

"Don't eat those." Warned Matt. "They're older than your grandma."

Foggy quickly dropped them back in the bowl and made a disgusted face. "Anyways, if I left even for one week the whole business would fall apart."

"Karen would be there."

"So, you won't even deny this? Wow I never thought I would be there to witness the fall of Matt Murdock's ego." Foggy raised his drink in a cheers! gesture.

The blind man scoffed. But before he could say something back, a loud shout rang through the small bar.

"EMERGENCY! GUYS IT'S AN EMERGENCY! I NEED MATT! Y'know, the blind guy? HAS ANYONE SEEN A BLIND GUY?"

Matt winced at the loud yelling of no other than Wade Wilson. He was in full Deadpool costume, his katanas shining on his back and guns making the customers gulp. Great. Now he'll have to explain how he knows Deadpool.

Foggy snorted next to him, he was already a little tipsy, and raised Matts hand. "The blind guy is here!"

Matt gave him a glare. But the blond man was enjoying this way too much. He met Deadpool before, even if that was a really short encounter and Wade couldn't stop talking about how orange juice is the best juice. Foggy tried to argue that he likes grapefruit juice but Wade just scoffed as if that was the dumbest thing he ever heard. Matt had to pull the merc away before that whole thing turned into a serious argument.

Wade sprinted to the two men, his heart beating way too fast. "Matt please help me I don't know what to do I didn't mean to say that fuck I messed up-"

"Wade, stop. I don't understand what you're saying."

Deadpool stopped himself and took a big breath in and out.

"Okay. I'm fine. Yeah I'm fine." He didn't sound very fine. "Can I get some shots?" Wade looked at the grumpy bartender.

She just nodded and poured him some tequila.

In that time Matt tried to gesture for Foggy to leave. But the stubborn man just shook his head. If Matt doesn't fear Wade, he won't too.

Wade had to take three shots before he calmed down a little. "I think I messed up, Matty."

Foggy snorted at the nickname.

"What happened?" Matt really hoped Wade was just being dramatic and the world is not in danger or something. Because he's already half-drunk and still limping from last night's fight.

Wade sighed, he didn't seem bothered by curious glances and stares. "Peter wanted me to meet his aunt and I said no." His voice was cold, like he was trying to hide his true feelings.

He'll have to try harder than that.

"Why did you say no?" Matt asked.

"I... It's just that we still haven't really decided what we are. We're going slow, I guess. Or maybe we're both just cowards."

Hearing Wade say that Deadpool and Spider-man were cowards was a little bit funny. These two were famous for their reckliness and bravery.

"And you know how I look."

"I don't, actually."

"I'm pretty sure I described it to you before."

"Let me remember... Is it the vomited mashed potatoes or Freddy Krueger's long-lost cousin?"

"No, I said you have to imagine if those two had shameful sex and had a baby which later got stuck in a house fire for two years."

"Right."

Foggy looked between the two, gaping a little. "What?"

Matt ignored him. He had the chance to leave, now he'll have to listen to this. "I still don't understand why you said no."

"Of course you wouldn't, with your pretty face and hot Cristian outfits."

Foggy snorted again, almost laughing this time.

"But I don't understand why Peter would want to show me to the probably most important person in his life." Wade continued his venting. "I'm loud, I talk shit, I'm a mercenary for fucks sake!"

"Maybe don't yell that." Foggy suggested while taking a sip of his beer.

Matt put his head in his hand, a neutral expression on his face. "So, you said no? And what when?"

"Peter... He..." Wade had to take his fourth shot. "He looked disappointed. That's stupid, right? Why would he- Anyways he probably won't want to date me anymore after this so who cares."

Matt rolled his eyes and was about to shout at him every way that sentence was stupid and completely wrong but Foggy got to that first.

"Dude, I'm sure not meeting his aunt isn't that big of a deal you think it is."

"...Really?"

"I mean, did he tell you that he won't date you?"

"No but I think it was implied-"

"Wade, he didn't imply shit." Matt took a gulp of his whiskey like a tired dad. "You can't just assume things. Communication, remember?"

Foggy frowned. "Hey don't be so mad at him. He's just confused." He defended the merc.

"He's stupid, that's what he is. I can't even have a simple evening out without his shenanigans."

Foggy rolled his eyes. "Stop being so grumpy. He clearly cares about this Peter and you're making him feel bad!"

"Guys can you-" Wade tried to interject.

"He should talk with Peter about this, not me."

"You should feel special. He trusts you with this!"

"He seems to trust the whole bar with this so I'm sorry if I'm not feeling 'special'" Matt made sure to do quotation marks with his hands.

"Can you just-" Wade tried again.

"But he came to you!"

"Because he knows no one else would listen to his crap."

"Matt, you're being-"

Foggy was cut off by Wade dropping his shot glass on the ground to get their attention. The bartender gave him a glare.

"I'll pay for it, don't need to give me the stink eye." Wade slammed some one hundred bills on the counter which was way too much for a simple shot glass but it’s not like Wade cared much about his money.

"Now," Deadpool clapped once as he turned to the two bickering men. "Can someone help me? Please?"

Matt let out a tired sigh. "Wade, Peter wanted to meet you his aunt because he sees you as an important person in his life too. And I'm sure he understands if you're not ready for that yet. But by freaking out about it, you might give him the wrong impression. So just get yourself together and talk to him. I'm sure he'll understand. He's Peter."

"And," Foggy cut in as well. "Trust and honesty are very important in every relationship. So, don't forget that. And don't forget any anniversaries. If you do, just go to that plushie store and buy the biggest plushie you can find. Because everyone loves plushies."

Matt silently grabbed the beer can from Foggy's hand. How many of those did he drink?

Wade nodded like a student. "Okay. Yeah. I think I'm starting to understand that maybe this wasn't an emergency and I should go call Peter."

Matt smiled a little. "Sounds like a good plan."

Wade smiled back at him, proudly. "Thank you, I came up with it myself."

"Did you?" Matt asked unimpressed.

But Wade was already half way to the door, only yelling a "Goodbye Matty! Goodbye Grapefruit guy!" before slamming the door as he exited.

Now it was Matt's turn to snort at the nickname, earning a light shove from the other man.

Foggy whistled lowly. "Man, did we just give love advice to Deadpool?"

"Yup."

"Is that like... an often thing?"

"Probably will be."

"Huh." Foggy stared at the door, as if expecting for the merc to come back yelling again. "Good luck with that."

Matt finished his whiskey with a smack on the counter. "Thanks."

He'll need more than luck to help those two idiots to get together. Some dark magic and weird rituals will probably have to be involved.

It was a month after Peter and Wade's first date.

Matt took a big bite of the cinnamon roll Karen bought earlier that day. He still has no idea how that woman manages to do everything without breaking a sweat. Matt has been in his office for just two hours and he's already dreaming of his bed.

His short break was interrupted by a call from his phone. It loudly announced Peter! Peter! Peter!

If it would have been anyone else, Matt would have probably let it go to voicemail but Peter didn't call often. It might be important.

Matt picked up the phone. "Yes?"

"Matt! Hi! I didn't expect for you to pick up."

When talking on the phone Matt couldn't really rely on his senses much but even from just Peter's voice he could tell the man was full of adrenaline.

Matt took another bite of his cinnamon roll. "Well, I picked up. So, what's going on?"

"What? I can't just call to chat?" Matt could just hear the grin on Peter's face. He was excited about something.

"I'm hanging up."

"Wait, no! Don't!" Peter shouted, panicked.

Matt wasn't actually planning on hanging up, he just wanted for Peter to say faster whatever he wanted say.

And it worked. Peter went right to the point.

"Honestly, it’s kind of stupid and I'm now realizing I set myself up for a lot of teasing but I just wanted to tell someone and you came to mind and-" Peter cut himself off, realizing he's rambling. "Wade asked me to be his boyfriend today."

Matt raised both of his eyebrows. Finally, after all the flirting during patrols and innocent cuddling on the couch when they all hanged out, they made it official. Question was, will they be even more annoying now? Probably.

"That's great. I'm happy for you." Matt didn't mean to say it that genuinely.

"It just feels so surreal!" Peter was excitedly chirping from the other end. "Wade was so sweet about it. He always fears that I don't want him when I've been waiting for this for months"

"I count two years."

"Shit, really? I feel like I admitted those feelings to myself only like six months ago."

Matt snorted. Six months. Right.

Maybe for other people it wasn't obvious but not for Matt. He can probably remember the exact moment Peter blushed at one of Wade's bad pick-up lines.

"Oh." Peter let out a laugh as well. "I'm an idiot, aren't I?"

"You both are."

Peter laughed again. "Hey we're trying, alright?"

Matt rolled his eyes but couldn't keep the grin from spreading on his face. "Trying is the right word."

"Anyway, sorry for bothering you. I just have so many emotions in me right now."

"It's alright." Matt said, not adding the I'm glad you trust me with these things. He had no idea why Wade and Peter seem to trust him this much. Maybe it's the blind thing?

"Okay, I'll leave you to do your lawyer things. Bye! See you tonight, maybe?"

"Maybe."

Matt hang up and finished his roll. His break was coming to an end and he had a lot to do today.

But just as he started to shuffle through the papers on his desk, his phone rang again. This time it yelled Wade! Wade! Wade!

Matt rolled his eyes. Yeah, no. He's not answering that.

He let it go to voicemail and went back to work. But the phone rang again. And again. And again.

After the eleventh call, Matt answered angrily. "What?"

"OH MY GOD MATTY YOU WON'T BELIEVE ME BUT ME AND PETE ARE OFFICIAL NOW!"

Matt had to pull the phone away from his ear if he wanted to not be deaf too.

"Fuck off, I'm working."

Wade pouted. "Man, you suck. Why did I even call you?"

"I'm asking the same question myself."

"Hey now that we're talking, how much time is appropriate between getting together and asking to move in?"

Matt rubbed his forehead. "You want him to move in with you?"

"I meaaan," There was some shuffling from Wade's end. He probably sat down. "You know how he lives! It's not for me, it's for him!"

Matt rolled his eyes. "Really?" He asked unconvinced.

"Okay maybe a little for me but mostly for Petey-bun!"

Matt let out a sigh. "Look, I honestly don't know but you should definitely wait for at least a week or two."

"Yeah that sound logical. Okay another question, is asking him through a message in the sky, while a band serenades him love songs and I do my dance routine too much?"

Matt blinked. "Wade, you're asking him to move in, not proposing."

"Fuck, you're right. I should save that for when I propose."

Oh God just imagining how chaotic those two wedding would be made Matt shiver. He has to make sure to not be in town when that happens. Maybe go on vacation with Foggy...

"Just don't-" He started but didn't get to finish.

"Matt, who are you talking to?" Suddenly Karen walked into his small office, with some documents related to their case in her hands.

"It's the wrong number."

"Hey! That's just rude! By the way I have another question-"

Matt quickly hanged up. Wade will need to figure out the move in thing himself.

Karen eyed him suspiciously. "...Right. I just wanted to ask if you found the records from the hospital."

Matt had to shook his head, feeling a little bad. Foggy and Karen were working so hard and he for the last 30 minutes had been eating cinnamon rolls and talking with his friends about their love life like some gossiping teenage girl.

"Sorry, not yet. I'm sure I'll sort everything by 4."

"You better or I'm changing this business to Nelson&Page." The woman teased.

"It has a ring to it."

"I know, right?" Karen laughed as she left the office, closing the door carefully. Ever since she learned about the sensitivity of Matt's senses, she tried to not make any unnecessary loud or obnoxious noises. Matt really appreciated it.

He went back to work immediately. He wasted enough time today. Though Matt would be lying if he said Wade and Peter didn't cross his mind while he tried to sort which documents were useful in their case and which not.

Maybe he'll need to take back his words about the dark magic and rituals. Good thing he was the only witness of those thoughts.

***

It was 3 months after Peter and Wade's first date.

Matt walked into the coffee shop, deciding to sit in the corner. Peter asked him to meet him there at noon.

He didn't say what he wanted to talk about but Matt had a hunch that it would be about the famous merc with a mouth. It's like ever since he realized that Matt had the patience to listen about their relationship highs and lows, Peter went to talk to him about everything. And Matt didn't stop him. So maybe that's on him. He was in too deep now, alright?

Peter sat down across from him, panting a little from running. "Hi sorry I'm late. There was this guy and I- It doesn't matter, actually. How are you?" He asked casually leaning in his seat.

As if he really cared about Matt right now.

"Good, I think. We won our case yesterday." He answered anyway.

"Good job!" Peter smiled kindly. "I uh needed to talk to you." He said more seriously.

"Well?"

Peter opened his mouth to talk but was interrupted by the waitress who smiled politely at them, asking them if they wanted anything. Peter ordered some black coffee and asked Matt if he wanted something but the blind man kindly refused.

The younger man didn't talk until the waitress came back again with his coffee but Matt didn't hurry him. It was Sunday which meant Matt didn't work today, at least officially, and sitting down and relaxing for a while was nice. Even if all he could hear was the rushed thumping of Peter's heartbeat, the shaking of his leg under the table and the light tapping of his fingers on the table.

Peter took a sip of his coffee and took a big breath. "I think I love Wade."

He thinks he loves Wade? No. He absolutely one hundred percent loves Wade. That fact was as obvious as that Wade Wilson was Deadpool.

But Matt didn't say anything, letting Peter formulate his next thoughts.

"And I just don't know when is the right time to say it. I mean we're not dating for long. Saying someone you love them after two months dating is appropriate, right? I dunno I just..." He took another sip of his coffee. "We know each other for much longer than that so maybe the rules are a little bit bent here."

"I don't think there are rules."

"But there is like... suggestions. Like, you're not supposed to say to someone you love them on the first date or ask them to marry you on the second." Peter argued.

Matt had to agree to that. Maybe there were some rules.

"I think two months is enough time to say someone you love them." Matt said honestly.

"Yeah..." Peter trailed off, still bothered by something. "But is it for Wade? You know how he gets with... feelings stuff."

Matt fixed his glasses. "Honestly, I'm surprised he didn't say it to you yet. Remember how he wrote that poem about your butt?"

Peter blushed. "Loving my butt and loving me is a little bit different, Matt."

Matt chuckled. "The poem was quite emotional. I'm pretty sure he compared your ass to a juicy peach."

Matt continued laughing but then he realized Peter wasn't, he stopped himself.

"Peter," He leaned over the table, a serious tone in his voice. "Wade loves you."

Peter didn't say anything for a while, deep in his own thoughts.

Maybe Matt shouldn't have said that. Peter probably didn't want to hear it. Especially from him. If some other Peter's friend would say that, he would take it as that person's opinion or just a way to comfort him. But hearing those words from Matt is a little bit different. It's no secret he knows more than he should.

"He would be so mad if he found out you told me that." Peter finally broke the formed silence, a smile slowly spreading on his face.

Matt smirked. "Then let's keep this between us."

Peter put his right hand on the table. "Don't worry, Murdock. I'll keep your secret safe." He smirked as well with that conspiratorial look.

They shook on it.

It was 6 months after Peter and Wade's first date.

Matt groaned as he sat down on his couch. He was pretty sure some of his ribs were broken. And the cut on his thigh seemed suspicious as well. Unfortunately, Claire was visiting her mother so he had to take care of that himself. Not that he minded.

Matt leaned back into the soft pillows on the couch, not even bothering to take off his Daredevil suit. He closed his eyes, breathing in... breathing out...

Matt was woken up by someone shaking him lightly by the shoulders. He grumbled something under his breath and opened his eyes.

Deadpool grinned. "Heyyy it's just me. I hope you don't mind but I let myself in."

Matt groaned. "What time is it?"

Wade looked at his Adventure Time watch. "09:23. Perfect time for breakfast! I'm making some eggs."

The merc walked into Matt's kitchen, grabbing the ingredients he needed, acting as if he lived there forever. Matt wanted to complain but his grumbling stomach shut him up.

"Wait," Matt's brain started to work again. "What the hell are you doing here? And how did you get in? If you broke my door again-"

"Calm down, sleepy pants. Your window was open." Wade answered from the kitchen, turning on the stove.

Shit he probably forgot to close it properly after getting home last night. A deadly mercenary breaking into your house is proof enough how stupid of a mistake that is.

"Okay that's on me." Matt said sleepily. "Why are you here, though?"

"I just need your opinion on something."

"On what?"

"Maybe you should get out of that bloody suit first."

Matt touched his face unconsciously. He was still wearing his mask.

"Fine." He stood up, wincing in pain when he put too much weight on his injured leg. "I like my eggs fried, by the way."

While Matt took a shower and changed into some more comfortable clothes, Wade prepared their eggs, complaining how the only thing Matt has to eat with them is bread.

Matt shoved some fried eggs in his mouth. "I'm pretty sure you seeing me wake up in my dirty suit should help you realize I have no place to give you any advice."

Wade snorted. "Yeah but you're still better than my boxes. Their advice always ends up in explosions or with me naked in Las Vegas. Or both."

"Right."

The said boxes were still a mystery to Matt. And every time Wade tried to explain them, it would just get more confusing. So, he just called them the reason behind Deadpool’s bad decisions and Wade agreed that it was accurate.

Wade squeezed some hot sauce next to his eggs, making Matt scrunch his nose in disgust. Ugh. Who eats eggs with hot sauce?

"I mean you have common sense, right?" Wade took a bite of his gross eggs.

"Sometimes?"

"Eh good enough." Wade took another bite. "Okay so I need your advice on how to tell Peter he's a workaholic."

Of course it's about Peter. It's like the only thing Deadpool cares anymore. And after they moved in together he just found more and more things to talk about him. Like about his grumpy side before he gets his coffee, the way he sticks to the ceiling when he gets startled or how he loves singing along to Disney songs. Information Matt clearly don't needs.

"How about you just tell him 'you're a workaholic'" Matt suggested with fake cheer.

Wade scoffed. "You think I haven't tried? He just says we'll talk about this tomorrow but we never do. And I'm getting tired of seeing him overwork himself not only as Spider-man but in the Daily Bugle as well. It's like overworking yourself times two! I just- I don't want to seem controlling or something but he really needs to take care of himself more."

Matt ate the last of his eggs, standing up to grab some juice from the fridge.

"We all could use that advice." He murmured and took a big gulp of orange juice. "Look, Wade. It kind of sounds like you'll need to force that conversation on him."

"But how?" Wade actually sounded helpless.

Matt wanted to tell him to fuck off and go home, solve his problems himself. What does Matt know about these things? He just woke up from dozing off on his couch because he was too tired to go to bed from fighting people all night.

But he didn't say that. Instead Matt put the juice back in the fridge and sat down next to Wade, facing him with his body.

"I know how much you fear of hurting Peter but he needs this conversation. You'll just have to... I don't know, demand that he sits down and listens?"

Wade sighed. "I don't want him to get mad at me."

"Why would he get mad?"

"I dunno... Because I'm sticking my nose in his business? Involving myself in his life?"

Matt huffed. "Wade. You're his boyfriend. His business is kind of your business too. Especially if it involves his mental health."

Wade nodded slowly, deciding to leave his eggs unfinished. And thank God for that decision.

"I'll be honest I wanted better advice than just 'go talk to him'" He admitted.

Matt rolled his eyes. "That's usually the only advice that works, Wade. I can write it for you, maybe then next time you won't break into my house." He quipped.

"Yeah, thanks but I think I'll manage without your blind guy's handwriting."

"Go home, Wade." Matt voice wasn't cold but kind, maybe even a little encouraging.

"Yeah, I should." Deadpool didn't argue and stood up from his spot. "FYI, I think I broke the shelf in your fridge."

Matt groaned.

It was one year after Peter and Wade's first date.

Peter knocked on Matt's office door.

Matt ignored him.

Peter knocked again. "Matt? I can hear you. My hearing is not that bad either."

Matt rolled his eyes. "Come in." He said in the most unwelcoming tone.

Peter didn't notice or just ignored that tone and came in, smiling warmly. "Hey, sorry for bothering you but I just wanted to ask-"

Not this again.

"JUST GO TALK TO HIM" Matt snapped.

Peter flinched at the suddenly raised voice.

"Oh, I didn't-" He sounded embarrassed, his cheeks warming up. "It's not about Wade. I wanted to ask you to look after my territories. Me and Wade are going on a trip."

Matt looked at him with a surprised expression. "And you don't need to vent to me how you're scared or something?" He made sure.

Peter giggled nervously. "No no. Wow, I've been going to you often, haven't I?"

"Not just you."

Peter blinked.

Then blinked again. "Wait... Wade was going to you too?"

Matt just nodded, clearly showing his annoyance at that fact.

Peter slapped his forehead. "Oh my god that sounds like hell. I had no idea!" He winced at the thought of Matt listening to their troubles that often. "I promise we'll both leave you alone." Peter added quickly.

Matt chuckled. "Don't say something you'll regret. Who will you go to when Wade will steal your blanket and you won't know how to ask for it back?" He joked.

Peter covered his face with his hands. "God, we're annoying."

Matt just laughed at that, his mood brightening up at the other man's embarrassment.

"I mean, we're doing better now." Peter tried to defend himself. "With the whole communication thing."

That was true. This month Wade came to him only two times while Peter just one. And it was the end of the month. So maybe they're really getting the hang of the whole relationship thing.

Matt put his hands up in defense. "Fine, I'll give you that. I'm surprised I haven't heard about your trip."

"It kind of was a spontaneous decision. A road trip to wherever, you know?"

"Sounds like a Deadpool plan."

"Yeah..." Peter chuckled but with too much love in his voice for Matt's liking. "If I'm not back in a week call the police to search for me." He said seriously.

Matt laughed. "I'll hire Jessica. And don't worry, I'll look after your territories."

Peter smiled at him. "Great. Thank you so much!

He shuffled to the door awkwardly. "I'll get out of your hair now."

"Good luck on your trip."

"Thanks."

Peter left, saying goodbye to Karen and Foggy as he exited the building.

But before Matt could get back to work he was interrupted once again. This time it was Foggy, who didn't bother with knocking. According to him, he had the permission to bother Matt as much as he wanted, after how much stress he put him through.

"What did he want?"

Foggy met Spider-man like two years ago. Peter - a few months ago when they all gathered to celebrate Matt's birthday. The two men clicked immediately since sassiness was like their second language. Wade was really offended by that fact and got a little jealous. Which meant the next day Matt had to listen to Peter complain about how Wade gets jealous over stupid things. And then, a few hours later Wade called to ask a good way to apologize for his dumb behavior. Anyway, great birthday.

"Nothing important." Matt tried to avoid the question. As much as he trusted Foggy with his own secret identity, he didn't blame Peter for protecting his. "Is there something you need?" He asked, turning his head from the desk to Foggy.

"Yeah, actually. I was wondering if you wanted to go out for a drink?"

Matt tilted his head to the side. "Like at Josie's?"

Foggy sighed as he rolled his eyes. "No dumbass, like at an actually nice place which doesn't have cockroaches on the walls and suspicious nuts in bowls."

Matt unconsciously started to spin a pen in his hand. "Oh I- uh yeah. That sounds... nice." He barely managed to answer, his usual neutral calm persona gone.

Foggy though, didn’t look nervous or jiggly at all. As if he was annoyed he had to be the one who started the conversation.

"Does tomorrow 6 p.m. work for you?"

Matt nodded. "Yes."

It didn't. But it was the perfect time to cash in that favor from Luke. He could probably go talk to the funeral home, right?

Foggy smiled. "Great! See you then!"

He walked out of the office, leaving Matt with his mouth still a little open.

Did Foggy just...

Fuck he needs to call Peter and Wade.

Notes:

Why is there so many teenager!Peter/Wade fics? Like come on! This is fanFICTION. You can literaly write them however you want and you choose to make Peter sixteen? I just can't understand that logic. I don't even like when he's 18 or 19 because it still feels... odd. For me he has to be at least 23 or something. I just started reading a great spideypool fic and half through realized he's seventeen there and I just UGH. WHY JUST WHY

Anyways, I hope you guys will always check the tags correctly unlike my dumbass self and have a great day. Every kudos or comment is deeply appreciated. I'm not kidding I need validation.
