r/AmITheAsshole for trying to find love?
I (45M), am in love with my dearest M (47F), she’s the only woman for me, I’ve known her since college and it was love at first sight, unfortunately, she made the idiotic decision to marry JA (46M), instead of me, I’ve been trying to win her over ever since!
I’ve given her love, presents and even brought her to my private cabin! Though I did have to use unfortunate methods, I’m even willing to take her children as my own! She has two kids D, (14M), and J (16F), I already consider them my children anyways, I know Madeline will fall for me, but her son, D, despises me, even though I just want what’s best for him and his mother.
He calls me a ‘creep’, and a ‘frootloop’, which I am neither of! He just can’t seem to grasp that I just want what’s best for them! All I want is my precious M and our children away from JA, that imbecile doesn’t even know left from right, it’s infuriating! J doesn’t like me much either, but she’s much less vocal than D about it, D is always picking fights, like a rebellious child, it’s adorable, though, still, annoying.
So, am I the asshole? I know I’m not, D and J are making a big deal out of this! It’s really what’s best for all of us! All we need is JA out of the way and we can be a happy family, as it was meant to be!
