Once upon a time, in a world unknown, there existed a magical kingdom of unparalleled beauty-Dreamlight Valley. This kingdom was under the benevolent rule of a kind Ruler, who wielded the enchanting power of Dreamlight to aid their villagers and maintain the Kingdom's ethereal state.
But eventually, the number of tasks became too much for the Ruler, and they couldn't keep up. So, they created eight magical beings called the Gemstone Guardians using a combination of gemstones, stone, and Dreamlight magic. Life in the Valley flourished with the combined help of the Ruler and the Guardians.
But then, the Ruler vanished in a sudden and inexplicable turn of events. The entire kingdom was thrown into a state of shock and confusion. Despite months of search, their beloved Ruler remained elusive.
The sudden loss of their creator plunged the Guardians into deep sorrow. Yet, they valiantly rallied together, striving to fill the void left by their leader. It was a long and arduous journey, but eventually, a semblance of normalcy returned to the Valley.
But then The Forgetting began.
It all happened so suddenly. Dark purple thorns sprouted from the ground everywhere in the Kingdom, blocking the passage between regions and robbing the villagers of their memories.
The Guardians tried their best to combat the thorns, but without a way to remove them, all they could do was try their best to keep everyone's spirits up and help the villagers as best as possible.
Until, one by one, they too vanished without a trace.
Without the Ruler or the Guardians to help them, most of the villagers left to go to their homelands to save what memories they had left.
Only a select few decided to remain in the Valley, now waiting for someone to come and restore the Kingdom to its former glory..
