Chapter Text
I find myself sitting cross legged on the floor just staring blankly at the door. The cold hardwood floor sends chills ripping down my spine, balancing out the warmth of the mid summer air circulating my house. A grey haze covers my sight - eyes locked on the wooden door. My hands find my hair, gently running my fingers over the braid feeling the ridges between my fingers. Thoughts cascade through my brain too fast to focus on. I tare my gaze away from the door staring at my hands which found their way into my lap.

Stepping into the shower the steam covers the mirror and glass shower door. Focusing on my face in the foggy mirror I massage my makeup remover into more pores - massage is a loose term. Finally lowering the face towel in my hands, I lock eyes on my face - raw from washing it for the third time tonight. Stripping my clothes I step into the shower willing the burning water to rinse all of my feelings away. To no avail, I find myself sitting on the floor of the shower with heat rashes covering my body. Dipping my hair beneath the water. Picking up my shampoo bottle I slowly read the label deciding to do anything to silence my thoughts. ‘I hate the way rep looked at lover, what did that even mean? I can’t fucking do this.’ Groaning slightly I slip out of the shower and begin my skincare. Which typically consists of moisturiser, and eye cream for my annoyingly dry eyes. Wandering back to my room, I step into my hoodie and stupidly shirt pyjama shorts. Sinking into my bed I allow the warmth to swallow me whole. My eyes grow heavy and slip shut. The soft hum of a fan willing me to sleep.
