With this assignment, I knew I'd have to pick up a new canon, and this is the one I chose of the two I was particularly interested in. Maybe some day I'll end up watching Under the Queen's Umbrella as well! I enjoyed Gokushufudou... I'd had a little exposure to other versions of the canon but wasn't familiar with this one in particular.
This isn't the kind of music I'd normally think of for a video, but I wanted something upbeat and happy that fit the vibe of the show, and this song fit surprisingly well! And I knew I wanted to focus on the relationships between Tatsu and his wife and daughter. I'd originally considered a video focused more on the full cast, but I ended up deciding that the more narrow theme worked better for my video.
