Work Text:
Kagiura groans, head buried in his hands. “You’re so unfair, Hirano-san!” He grumbles, glancing up at the blonde who sits on the other side of their shared study desk.
Redirecting his attention towards his roommate—lover? Soon-to-be-boyfriend?—Hirano sighs. “No I’m not,” because he is, in fact, being completely fair.
“Yes you are!” Kagiura exclaims, lowering his volume lest someone else on their dorm floor wakes up and scolds them for causing another racket. Changing his position slightly, leaning on the wooden surface, resting his head on his crossed arms, he glances at Hirano, “say it again.”
“I just did a minute back,” Hirano mutters, raising an eyebrow, the blush already visible on his cheeks turning a shade darker.
Kagiura pouts. “Say it again,” he pleads, “hearing it twice isn’t enough.”
“Twice in the span of ten minutes is plenty,” the older retorts though his words hold no bite.
The taller shakes his head in disagreement. “Come on, one more time! Please?”
In an instant, Hirano is aware of exactly how much love Kagiura holds in those dark jade eyes—which is directly solely at him. His heart clenches again, warmth spreading across his body as the realization that this feeling is finally mutual truly sinks deep into his bones.
Not to mention, he’s always been weak towards the younger’s demands.
With a sigh that carries more affection than it should, the blonde props an elbow on the surface of the shared workspace, cheek resting in his palm. Staring at the taller boy with nothing but affection, he says, “I like you, Kagi-kun, and I want to be with you.” He pauses, then adds with a chuckle, “are you satisfied?”
Visibly, Kagiura brightens at those simple words. “Not at all,” he says, “but for now, I am.” A grin makes its way across his face.
“That’s good, then,” Hirano laughs, a certain fondness that only arises with Kagiura around to his tone, “I guess I still have forever to satisfy your needs.”
