Chapter Text
”Terrrr ~”
Qin was gonna miss him.
all of him.
the smiles.
the whining.
the comfort.
the clinginess.
the patience.
the understanding.
the light.
the warmth.
from the way Duang behaved like an excited puppy whenever in the presence of him.
to the way Duang stayed silent and gave him room to open up— listening with care, rather than judgment.
he’d miss the way Duang clung to him in the morning.
the way Duang was okay with his silence, content in just being beside him.
the way Duang would softly kiss him from his neck to his collarbone, taking in the scent of him— as if worshiping Qin’s existence was his whole purpose in life.
but here Duang was, suitcases huddled around him as he stood on the verge of tears.
the airport was packed, people rushing to not miss their flights.
yet, Duang couldn’t even pretend he was in a rush.
all he wanted was Qin.
the same Qin gently smiling up at him, his eyes mirroring crescent moons.
however, Duang knew him too well.
Qin was emotional, too.
he was just better at being “strong”.
“i can’t do this,” Duang pouted, shaking his head.
”you can,”
”but i’ll miss Ter,”
”we’ll facetime,”
”it’s not the same as seeing Ter up close,”
the first tear trickled.
”or this,”
then, he was squishing his cheek against Qin’s.
no embarrassment, no shame.
just same old, classic Duang.
“i’ll come visit you during breaks,” Qin promised.
“we’ll take turns,” Duang sniffled, pulling away.
they stared at each other.
one looking up, the other down.
both yearning for the same thing.
to forever orbit in each others path.
one’s sun and the other’s moon.
but how could they do that when Duang was moving to Japan for his last two years of university to pursue his newfound dream of becoming a comic book artist?
especially, since Duang had also been accepted as an intern for a gaming company.
“but we just started dating,” Duang tried looking for an excuse to stay.
”it’s been a year,”
Qin saw right through him.
”i’d miss our anniversary,”
”we celebrate every month anyways,”
”you’re trying to get rid of Duangggg!” he whined.
”i’m being a supportive boyfriend,” Qin rolled his eyes.
always so dramatic.
”fine,” he gave up, sulking.
adorable.
“Duang loves Ter, kha”
trembling, he pulled Qin in for a hug.
”and Qin loves Duang,”
that did it.
that broke Duang.
his face scrunched up.
breath stuttering as he inhaled Qin’s cologne.
Ter loves Duang.
we’ll be okay.
my Qin…
then he burst into tears, clutching Qin as his knees gave out.
“it’s okay,” Qin whispered, sounding hoarse.
you’re okay.
we’re okay.
we’ll always be okay.
