Chapter Text

"Trickster!" Lavenza cheerily called out, swinging her legs from the Velvet Room door as she greeted him.

This caught Ren off-guard for two reasons. Firstly, Lavenza was generally more composed than this in normal circumstances. Lastly, and more importantly, he had already returned to Inaba, and he hadn't known this area was under the Velvet Room coverage plan.

Shelving that thought for now, Ren gave her an exaggerated bow. "How may I be of service, o' blueberry of might?"

At that, the Velvet Room Attendant's eyes narrowed with the promise of payback (likely in the form of an 'unexpected' fusion accident later), before she calmed herself. "You may be of service to yourself by allowing me to ensure that all the traces of the false cognitive deity have been purged from you."

Being talked to at business by someone barely above his waist would normally be laughable, but Lavenza was just about imposing enough to make it work.

"It truly is remarkable. Despite the being's malevolence, its bestowal of the Third Eye upon you is purely beneficial and lingers even after the dissolution of Mementos. That being said, I urge you to recall any instances where you leveraged such an ability as of late." Lavenza implored.

"Well, I can think of a few..." Ren didn't quite know exactly how far back Lavenza's cut-off point was, so no earlier than a week ago would be his own tentative starting point for now.

Notes:

"Who tampered with my records?! Margaret!"

"Come now, sister. I believe that you ought to direct your anger at Elizabeth, instead- Ah, you've split already? How swift."
