Since it's his birthday and I love him a lot, I thought I should get him a present. Maybe a broom because he really likes Quidditch, but Dad said no because he already had one. Then I thought about giving him a stuffed dragon like mine, but Mom said no because he'd probably think of Dad instead of me. And no. I'm the only one who's allowed to be my uncle's favorite.
So I decided to be like Mom and write a book.
But not just any book.
I did very important research with people of interest. (That's what Dad calls them.)
So after asking a whole bunch of questions and listening to weird stories from Mom, Dad, Uncle Theo, and Aunt Luna, I finally finished...

Hermione is a healer under Theo Nott’s firm. He asks her to take a new patient that everyone has refused to heal, considering them already lost. It is Narcissa Malfoy, suffering from Dementia and being very much stubborn.
When Hermione accepted, she discovers a family that went through so much but has a deep communication problem : Draco works so much to restore the Malfoy name and now exactly what is happening outside, to protection his son, Narcissa is doing everything she can to help Draco into the restoration by throwing mundane balls and suppporting charities, while at the same time she tries to educate Scorpius.
Scorpius being the Precious one : after the death of Astoria, Scorpius feels more lonely than even. At 5 years-old, he is traumatised by the death of the his mother, trying to cope on his own because Draco is more anxious about outside threats and Narcissa about appearances than about how he dealt with this : He did not and he stopped talking because of it. He starves of bounds with his father, not knowing how to read, how to approach him but keeping every single note Draco writes preciously (the only way Draco knows how to express his feelings to his son is through small notes on the table every morning, when he prepares his son meal right before leaving for work)
Hermione knows Scorpius suffers and she will take a child’s side at every turn : she then tries to connect Scorpius with Albus, her godson who is also very timid and introvert in a family too big for him.In this fic Draco and Harry are incredible fathers who protect their sons personality as much as possible : Draco by defending Scorpius when Narcissa keeps bringing the fact that he is mute, and Harry by letting Albus stay out of families activities too much for him, bringing him to Hermione to have a bit of peace and expressing so much proud everytime Albus goes a little closer to the forest bordering Hermione’s cottage than before.
Hermione, traumatized by the war, is living recluse from society in a cottage where she tries to live through her own means : she grows her Magical plants for treatment, her own food, she has lots of chicken for eggs, she get honey from Shacklebot culture, Neville comes to bring her more plants and advices, … her home is a refuge to her friends but they know it is also a place for her to hide from the world and loneliness is hard for her. -
