Dadan didn't need to see him to know he was there. Of all possible bullshit that could happen to her, time travel had Monkey D shenanigans stamped all over it. And considering her kid’s Pirate King now, it would be a fool’s bet to think he hadn’t got himself wrapped up in some new adventure or another and ended up bragging her to fucking Marinefort of all place. "I didn't do nuthing!" yelled back at her from the crowd of marines and pirates told her she was spot on, even if the brat himself probably did not know at this point what in Nika's name he managed to do in order to drag her back not only from the embrace of death but toss her back in time as well
But that mattered little now. The brat was alive and would stay alive. It's her other brat that she's worried about. It doesn’t more than a cursory glance to notice her surroundings. Because there, up on the scaffold, alive - still thankfully alive and he would stay like that if she had anything to say about it - Ace chortles in surprise and gasped a word he had not used since he was knee high.

There had always only been damp planks slogging down a river which separated them on two opposite banks. No bridge to speak of.

Summary
According to the history annals of the Republic, the Je'daii civil war between the Sith and Jedi factions was won by the Jedi, defeating the Brotherhood of Darkness and reclaiming the name Je'daii. The Ruusan Reformation disbanded all Je'daii military forces, bringing them under the purview of the Republic, and tasking them with the large job of Galactic Peacekeeping.
According to the history annals of the Je'daii Order, the Sith won the civil war. The Ruusan Reformation is just one of many ways they have of keeping those who subscribe to the Jedi way of things unable to restart the war. The others are... less pleasant.
Of course, that just means that the Jedi are even more determined to break free. They've had 1,000 years to come up with a plan. They're ready to break their chains.

At the end of the second week, none of the students who had been willing to play with Naruto at the beginning were willing to approach him at all, and the boy had spent the last recess of the week alone at the swings. By the end of the school day, Naruto had stopped trying to pay attention or even answer anything in class at all.

"That's fine! I like all sorts of ramen! Though I don't like waiting for the water to boil." He whined. She quickly got out two ramen cups and the kettle, filling the later with water and flipping it on. It was one of those fancy kettles that heated itsself with wires except of a fire on the stove; a gift from her Kaa-san's Nii-san.
"It's boring." She nodded, totally getting his point. He cheered in agreement, so she continued, "You have to wait for it to get so hot, and then wait for it to cool down again?"
"Right! Does the water wanna be warm or not? It's gotta make up it's mind!" Naruto said. Sakura laughed, and he laughed along.
