Clark finds himself "acosted" by a tiny 5yr old when said 5yr old promptly kicked him in the shin. Oh, wow. That actually HURT. Welp. Clark can't, in good conscience, leave a 5yr old who has apparently been abandoned all alone on the dangerous streets of Metropolis, now can he? So, what's a superhero to do? But pick up the kid and adopt him.
Lois finds out about the GIW and Anti-Ecto Acts, and is like a dog with a bone. Bruce is less than thrilled that he couldn't adopt the boy first. But at least he'll get to be the fun uncle. And Jazz, Tucker, and Sam all get shiny new guardians out of it too.

It’s a kid. A teenager, by the looks of him, no more than 15 or 16, with curling brown hair plastered over his forehead and eyes. He lays there prone on his side, covered in cuts- some shallow, some deep, all of them most likely caused by the barbs on the fishnet. Tony can just make out blood matted on the back of his head- he probably hit it on the side of the boat and got himself knocked out. Clinging to his torso is a soaked, faded t-shirt and below that…
...below that, his lower body is a tail. A full-on fish tail.

“You’re worried about everybody.” Lois says, and Clark shoots her a look. “What makes him so special?”
Clark shrugs. “I don’t know, I don’t know anything about him.” It had been hard not to follow Spiderman back to wherever he goes each night, desperate to learn more about him, trying not to let the worry overwhelm him. He digs a little harder at the coffee stain. "I think he's alone."
He looks back up to see Lois staring at him, her mouth screwed up and her eyebrows drawn close together, her fingernail tapping against the wood. “How are you gonna help him?”
Clark just sighs. "In whatever way I can."

Peter Parker shows up on Superman's doorstep, and for some reason, he can't get the superhero to leave him alone. Clark just wants to help.
