“Venti, someone saw you.”
There’s a pause. “Someone saw me,” Venti repeats.
“Nimrod,” Diluc nods. “Got drunk in Angel’s Share afterwards. Charles told me, which means that everyone in the bar must know by now, and probably half the city.” Then he mutters something about Kaeya, which Venti would address if he felt anything like normal. It’ll be fine, probably.
The idea of Nimrod knowing, of half of the city knowing –
Anemo rises up between Venti’s limbs before he can even put the idea into words. He doesn’t think about it, barely processing what he’s doing, before he blinks out in a flurry of teal.
(Venti intervenes with an Abyssal threat and gets caught. Mondstadt doesn't see him again for weeks.)

Yae Miko blinks, registering the words. "You mean to say that human identity of his is gone," she says finally.
"From what I understand, yes." There's a touch of sorrow to Ei's brow, not true sadness, but at least the sympathy for an old colleague. The two never got along, but it was a well-known fact among the gods that Barbatos always liked to play human. To have that taken away from him must be painful, so of course Ei feels some pity, estranged as they may be.
Yae Miko, on the other hand, is not estranged from Barbatos. As such, her response to such a development is not anything so clinical as sympathy, of all things. Her eye twitches. "You mean to say that his little persona is gone," she repeats, "and he didn't tell me?"
(or, Barbatos had it coming for not letting her know, and Yae Miko will stand by that.)
