Summary
He thought of the bond between them. The connection that hummed in his chest, warm and constant. The way Obi-Wan’s presence soothed him, even in the darkest moments. The way he’d always felt whole when they were together.
And the way Obi-Wan had never said a word about it. Had never acknowledged it. Had never—
He doesn’t feel it, Anakin thought, and the words curdled in his mind. The bond is just… the vestiges of training. Just a master-apprentice thing. He doesn’t feel what I feel.
He had always known that, but somehow, it hurt more now.

Summary
Werewolf. Obi-Wan was a werewolf. That was the secret. That was what he’d been hiding. Not an illness, not a clandestine mission, not some political scandal—
A werewolf.
And he wanted Anakin.
He wanted Anakin.

Summary
He remembered everything. The sniper. Obi-Wan shoving him aside. Obi-Wan crumpling. Obi-Wan’s hand reaching for him, even as he fell. Obi-Wan screaming his name.
Obi-Wan’s blood on the dirt.
Anakin sat up, ignoring the way his vision swam. He looked around the cell—empty, cold, identical to a thousand other cells he’d seen in a thousand other bases. He was alone. There was no one else. No guards. No droids. Just him and the silence.
And the rage.

Summary
He pulled his hand back from the windowsill and turned to survey the room. It was small—one circular space with a bed in the corner, a table, a few shelves of books, and a small fireplace that Palpatine kept generously lit.
The walls were bare stone, rough and cold. The only warmth came from the fire and from the small, flickering hope that someday—someday—he’d find a way out.
But that hope was getting harder to hold onto.
Anakin sat down on the edge of his bed—the only bed, too small for two people, though that had never mattered because there had never been anyone else—and stared at the fire.
He was so tired.

Summary
His hand landed on Obi-Wan’s shoulder. Firm and friendly.
And Obi-Wan flinched.
Not subtly. A full-body recoil—shoulders jerking back, spine going rigid, a sharp inhale that Anakin heard even over the ambient ship noise. Obi-Wan stumbled half a step to the side, putting distance between them like Anakin’s hand had been a brand.
And Anakin’s hand?
It hung there, empty and stupid.
He blinked. “Whoa—sorry, did I—”
“Do not,” Obi-Wan said, and his voice was wrong. It wasn’t his usual measured tenor, the calm Vulcan monotone that Anakin had grown so used to it felt like background music. This was clipped and sharp and almost… breathless . “Do not touch me, Anakin.”

Summary
Anakin’s breath caught, just slightly, just enough to be embarrassing.
The bartender was beautiful. There was no other word for it. Auburn hair, just long enough to be tousled, streaked with silver at the temples. A beard that looked like it belonged in a cologne ad. Forearms exposed by rolled-up sleeves, moving easily as he poured something amber into a glass. And his eyes—even from across the room, Anakin could see they were blue. The kind of blue that made you want to keep looking, just to see if they’d change in different light.
He was laughing at something a customer said, head tipped back just slightly, and the sound of it carried across the bar like warm honey.
Anakin’s stomach did something complicated. He forced himself to look away.
Don’t be an idiot, he thought. You’re here for a date. A date with someone else. Who might actually show up. Maybe.
He checked the door again. Still nothing.
OR: Anakin gets stood up on a blind date, but it doesn't matter because the bartender is hot.

Summary
He thought about Obi-Wan. He thought about the way Obi-Wan looked at him sometimes—soft, almost wistful, like he was seeing something fragile. He thought about the way Obi-Wan said his name, like it meant something. Like he mattered.
He thought about how badly he wanted to tell him.
And he thought about how he couldn’t. He’d lose Obi-Wan’s trust, his respect, everything. He’d be shipped off to some remote outpost, or worse, he’d be stuck here, in the Temple, with Obi-Wan looking at him with pity or disgust instead of pride.
Anakin squeezed his eyes shut.
“I’m fine,” he whispered to the empty room. “It’s fine. It was nothing.”
It was not nothing.

did ever dragon keep so fair a cave? by Sarcastic_Soulmate

Summary
The dragon was massive—easily the length of a small house—with scales the color of burnished copper and amber, catching the faint glow of the embers and shimmering like liquid fire. Its horns swept back from its head in elegant curves, and its eyes—those golden, slitted eyes—were watching him with something that looked almost like… curiosity.
Anakin’s mouth went dry.
“Please,” he whispered, his voice barely audible over the storm. “I—I just needed shelter. I didn’t know—I’ll leave—”
The dragon rumbled again. It wasn’t a growl, more so something deeper, softer.
And then it carefully lowered its head back down and pushed something toward him with its snout.
A pile of furs. Soft, thick, warm-looking furs.

Summary
“Don’t.” Anakin held up a hand, stepping back. “Don’t give me that look. Don’t pretend like you understand what that was like for me. You don’t. You can’t. Because you weren’t the one left behind.”
The words were possibly too heavy and accusatory, but Anakin didn’t care.
There was something to be said about the shift in perspective when you felt your best friend’s heart stop beneath your hands, when he died in your arms and then came back from the dead acting like your heart hadn’t stopped too. Like your lives weren’t intertwined since the moment you shook hands in the Jedi Temple, like you wouldn’t lose a limb for him. Like you hadn’t already.

Summary
Obi-Wan studied the furious young man before him, the teacup trembling slightly in Anakin’s grip. The porcelain would likely shatter if he held it much longer.
“Lord Palpatine does not offer choices,” Obi-Wan said quietly. “He offers verdicts. You know this as well as I do.”
Anakin’s jaw tightened. “So you expect me to be grateful that he offered me to you instead of someone worse?”
“No.” Obi-Wan held his gaze. “I expect you to be realistic.”

Summary
Anakin had a plan.
A good plan. A sexy plan. The kind of plan that would make Obi-Wan forget all about Jedi detachment and code and propriety and finally—finally—see him as something other than his former Padawan.
Step one: Light candles. Lots of them. Ambiance was key. He’d read that somewhere. Probably in one of those holonovels Padmé had lent him that one time. The ones with the shirtless men on the covers.
Step two: Wine. Two glasses. One for Obi-Wan, one for him. Very romantic. Very mature. Very I am a grown omega who knows what he wants.
Step three: The robe.
Ah, yes. The robe.

Summary
The Sith froze too, though his expression didn’t shift. He just stood there, arm extended, pale skin exposed from wrist to elbow, and on that skin—
Glowing gold. Pulsing in time with Anakin’s own heartbeat.
The same mark. The same constellation he’d stared at in the mirror a thousand times, wondering who it belonged to, whether they were good, whether they would love him, whether they were even alive.
It was alive. It was right in front of him. It was attached to a Sith who’d been flirting with him for the last ten minutes like they were at a bar and not in the middle of a duel to the death.

Summary
He moved again, and this time Anakin was ready, but ready wasn’t enough. The man was fast, impossibly fast, and before Anakin could swing his saber, a cold hand clamped over his wrist and squeezed. The saber clattered to the ground. Another hand grabbed his jaw, forcing his head back, and the man leaned in close—close enough that Anakin could see the veins of black ink trailing up his neck, could smell the iron-and-sweetness of his breath.
Those golden eyes dropped to Anakin’s throat, where his pulse was hammering like a trapped bird. The man’s smile widened, revealing the sharp points of his fangs.
“Now, now,” he murmured, his thumb stroking along Anakin’s jaw in a gesture that was almost tender. “Let’s not be hasty. I’ve been asleep for a very long time, and you’re the first lovely thing I’ve seen in millennia. Surely we can come to some sort of…” He tilted his head, considering. “...Arrangement.”
Anakin’s heart was pounding so hard he could barely think. “What kind of arrangement?”

Summary
Obi-Wan’s chest ached. “How long?”
“Does it matter?”
“How long, Anakin?”
A long, shuddering pause. “Two weeks ago, I stopped seeing colors. Three days ago, I stopped seeing shapes. Now I just…” He gestured vaguely at the space where Obi-Wan was. “Shadows. Light. Yours is brighter than the rest. It always has been.” His voice dropped to a whisper. “That’s how I knew you were here. You shouldn’t—” Anakin’s voice was wrecked. “You shouldn’t be here. You should stay away—”
“I’m not leaving.”
