Now, Hornet has been whisked away to Wyrm-knows where, Quirrel is left with nothing but a bell and a cranky Relic Seeker to guide him, and a new type of horrific infection is sprouting up at an alarming rate... Maybe he still has some adventuring left in him, after all. (Or Quirrel and Lemm become unexpected best friends while Hornet beats up silk-possessed bugs in a cogwork wonderland.)

I've come up with a lot of headcanons during my time in the Hollow Knight fandom. Here are some of my favorites. Most of these are in regards to different bug species and cultures as a whole, the little details of and differences between their lives, which gives a little more background to where they grew up and how it shapes them. But some individual characters will be brought up and discussed too- usually in cases where they are unique, such as many of the higher beings and even Hornet.

“B,” said the Nightmare King as he floated down the hall carrying a bunch of stupid guitars and a stinky piano. The Seer gasped.
“WHAT IS LIGHT? WHO IS WHEN? LIGHT!!” shrieked the Seer, “ARE YOU A LIGHT?” The Nightmare King looked confused, then dropped the guitars on her head, picked them up, and walked away. The Seer gasped again.
“IT IS LIGHT!” she screeched as she picked up a piece of Nightmare Essence and shaped it into a foot. The Radiance rolled her eyes before floating away.

Something that has never been answered in the game: I know Grimm and the Radiance are connected in some way (Dreams vs Nightmares leitmotif, full screen title cards for their fight, the fact that they're Higher Beings dealing with dreams and shit), so this is my take on their... relationship? Please no hate, I just thought of this and was like "Hey, that would be cool." I was a little hesitant at first because most fics I've read, they interpret the two as siblings. But oh well, here it is: my take is that they're married! Yeah, sue me. I had a fun time writing this, though. So, I hope you guys enjoy reading.
