It was near impossible to spot anybody on the dance floor as people constantly shifted in and out and the lights flashed various colors around them. While she was scanning the center of the room, she noticed a platform of clear glass raised above the masses of people like a stage from which the most important people could gaze over the crowds. Her eyes caught on a woman sat amongst a sea of people of various genders all dressed in assorted signifiers of submission.
The woman themself was clad in some sort of elaborate corset and trousers both in vibrant reds. With their long hair draped over one shoulder the woman sat back with their legs spread. She radiated a casual dominance as she surveyed the room. One of the dotting admirers lifted the woman’s drink to their lips. They accepted the straw between their lips without raising a finger, appearing almost bored despite the whirling party surrounding them.
Aka Magnus is a nonbinary femme club owner and Alec is an autistic butch just trying to drag her best friend out of trouble. They meet by chance and dyke shit occurs.

The pressure cast on him by his parents, siblings, and all of the Shadow World finally catches up to Alec, and he explodes. He always felt so different from everyone else. No one he knew got set off by a small touch, a wrong sound, a missing object, a change in routine. He was different, and as a Shadowhunter, that was the last thing you were allowed to be. He feared Magnus didn't actually like all of him, so he hides, but the warlock finds him and reassures him that he's perfect the way he is.

Clary was sitting on the edge of the roof’s railing, her feet swinging and dangling into the air. She looked out towards the skyline with a crease in her brow. Alec took a couple of steps towards her, trying to step louder with his feet so he didn’t startle her. He came up right next to her before she said anything.
“Hi Alec,” she said, the hands in her lap suddenly very interesting. “I activated my equilibrium rune. Don’t worry.”
“I wasn’t worried. You know your runes better than a lot of us,” Alec replied, taking out his stele and running it over his own equilibrium rune behind his right shoulder.
