Summary
When Blitz is emotionally raw, grappling with the impact of his past mistakes and failed connections. Blitz is consumed by guilt and frustration after everything that happened. He tries to distract himself by diving headfirst into work. Blitz takes on a particularly dangerous contract, one that he knows is reckless but feels is the only way to push his pain aside. Blitz finds himself ambushed by a rival demon from his past and is overpowered, gravely injured, and taken prisoner.
Stolas, senses that something is wrong when Blitz's usual chaos-filled updates go silent for too long, Stolas grows increasingly worried. Despite the cracks in their relationship, Stolas refuses to lose Blitz, especially after everything they've been through.
Blitz and Stolas both realize that neither can keep running from their emotions anymore. In a rare moment of raw honesty, Stolas confesses how much Blitz truly means to him. And Blitz, for the first time, lets his guard down, admitting that despite all the walls he's built, he's always cared deeply for Stolas.

Blitz just downs another drink and asks for another but the bartender cuts him off and points to the door. He flips him off and leaves, stumbling against the wall of the bar. As an imp he’s always been a lightweight but he doesn’t like to let people know that, but it eventually becomes obvious nonetheless. He turns back to check on Stolas. It's only been four days since they left the palace together. Magically, apparently, Stolas is certain that he's eggnant but he looks the same to Blitzø. They booked this crappy room with some of the cash that Stolas brought, but they'll need to pawn his expensive shit to get more. "
