Itadori frowns, the smallest wrinkle forming between his brows. It makes his already tired face look even more exhausted. He’s always like this, Megumi can’t help but think. Constantly worrying about other people. Maybe he should worry about himself more for a change.

Without opening his eyes, still not quite awake, Kabru rolled over onto his back and propped himself up against the pillow. He let out a soft noise, something between a whimper and a meow, as stretched his arms above his head, and his legs under the blanket. Suddenly he cried out in pain and put both of his hands on his stomach, grimacing. Laios put his hand there, too, in an attempt to help. Kabru reluctantly withdrew his hands and put them on his chest instead, allowing Laios to massage his belly with his large, warm, gentle hand. Kabru's eyes rolled back in his skull.
“Good morning, Kabru. Honey,” Laios said, watching him carefully. “How are you feeling?”
“Mmm...” Kabru furrowed his brow. “Good morning, handsome. To be honest with you,” he sighed, “I feel as if I have been repeatedly punched in the stomach. I'm awfully sore.”
