Thorn is forced to flee and hides with the rest of her followers in an unspecified location. Therefore, the Dragonets of Destiny chose neither her nor any of the other SandWing sisters as the new queen of SandWings. The war continues. Queen Glacier sees that Vulture, who has become the most influential SandWing in the Sand Kingdom, is wealthier than the royal family itself, and wants to gain his support for Blaze before Blister or Burn do. Vulture agrees, but in exchange, one of her family members must marry his grandson. The queen decides it will be one of her nephews, and that's how Winter and Qibli, though they don't yet know each other, become engaged and prepare for their wedding.

Despite not eating anything, Eddie nearly chokes.

Buck immediately scratches the back of his neck, suddenly looking much less confident than he had three seconds ago.
"Well..." he mumbles. "When you say it like that..."
