When a normal woman who enjoys writing fanfiction somehow gains the attention of the Chaos Gods, she is pulled into the Warhammer 40k universe. She embarks on a quest with her new friends to discover the secrets of the Warp itself so that she may return home. This is an exercise in creativity and an epic "weak to strong" tale as a possible new God-Empress of Mankind navigates her uncertain future in a frightening new reality. This is a huge, epic-length "hero's journey" adventure fic involving decidedly non-heroic people.
This is primarily a Warhammer 40k "isekai" fic embellished with elements taken from the general Oz universe with special attention to "The Wizard of Oz" (1939 film), and "Return to Oz" (1985 film). Knowledge of the Oz universe and L. Frank Baum's literary work is not required to enjoy this story, but it certainly makes it fun. I try to gently introduce Warhammer 40k lore as I go along for anyone who isn't very familiar with that universe. I try to update at least a few times a month.

In the Oz books by L. Frank Baum, Dorothy seeks out Glinda and travels home via the Silver Slippers. (The Ruby Slippers are a movie invention.) But what if they couldn't send Dorothy home to Kansas?
In this tale, Glinda has to find another way to send Dorothy home to Aunt Em and Uncle Henry, preferably in time for Christmas!
The story takes place in July and December 1904. Dorothy is 8 years old.
This story does not take place in the same universe as my usual alternative Oz stories, but it does share the same general timeline. I've tried to make it more like the original books, and less alternative, but this is not an attempt to make a 100 percent, Canon-consistent story.

Boq Ethan Woodsman IS angry- is hurt. Is *DEVASTATED*. *Ofcourseheis*!! But- However, he knows very well despite what SHE said, it *was NOT* Elphaba's fault, despite what he's now been turned into. It's *HER* fault- *NESSAROSE'S fault*. The Wicked Witch of the EAST'S fault. It always has been...!!
Pinocchio *does NOT* know what to do anymore than his new actual friend Miss Dorothy Gale. He's more-or-less SAFE finally, yes... but just like Dorothy, he and his cricket conscience-turned-*cat like Figaro* are far away from home because of certain cruel mean horrible adults. Even worse, EVEN FARTHER now-!!! (Also, he apparently has to *LIE* about who and what he is. *Which he HATES*...!!!!)
Eventually, the 'Tin Man' and the 'Scarecrow' meet one another and get along quite nicely despite slight apprehensions for one reason or another... and also find themselves wondering what this *OTHER feeling* so sudden and new and PURE and *strong* is, nevermind their both being males???
(Or, in other words, in *THIS story*, Boq Woodsman CHANGES; for *the BETTER*. For- well, *For Good*...)

The land of Oz Is divided into 12 districts and was ruled by the capitol.
Every year the capital hosts the annual Wicked Games. 2 tributes from each district are put in an arena and all 24 tributes are brought to The Emerald City before being placed in an arena where they must fight until only one remains.
16 year old Elphaba Thropp from district 12 volunteers as tribute for the games this year to save her younger sister, Nessarose.
Elphaba and fellow tribute Fiyero get brought to the capitol to begin preparations for the games.
Elphaba doesn’t believe she can make out of this alive. But perhaps a certain blonde career tribute can give her some new life.

Oh, he should have never brought Dorothy back. For her it was only yesterday that she left Oz, and you’d think that in the five years Scarecrow has ruled the place alongside Lion and Tin Man they would’ve learned to fight their own battles.
Now, this isn’t to say that they aren’t competent, they are, and have a staggeringly high success rate. But it seems the moment they’re outmatched, they go running for the help of a child.
A child that doesn’t deserve all of this chaos.
