Oscar would have something interesting to say, he thinks, he’d make a quip about how blondes weren’t really his type anyway. They’d hover in a corner together—after Lando’s all danced out—and make fun of the drunks, despite not being much better themselves.
Someone brushes past and settles on the edge of his periphery. Lando spins in his chair and sees him, swooping brown hair, pale skin, a quarter zip that’s just so obviously Oscar.

“What?” Lando asks, incredulous. “Why would we—huh?”
“For team building,” Andrea pipes up from Zak’s side, one of the few sentences of the morning that he’s spoken.
“Team building,” Oscars mutters, distaste clearly laced in his voice.

You see, when Lando had agreed to spend 2 full weeks trapped with his sisters on a boat, he'd been rather… distracted.
His sweet, darling, Oscar has recently taken to teasing Lando horrifically over text. And, sometimes, that causes his brain to fully shut down in the midst of a conversation with his dad and, apparently, agree to a long-ass family trip during summer break - limiting his time back home with Oscar a tremendous amount.
