Summary
Forced to attend the Conclave being held at the Temple of Sacred Ashes, Ember Trevelyan is doing her best to get out of the situation when a magical explosion changes everything. With no memory of the event that leveled a mountain, or how she survived it, she's suddenly stuck with the responsibility of killing demons, closing rifts, and gathering allies to a cause she wants no part of. Everything in her tells her to run away, but as the only one that can help seal the Breach in the sky, she finds herself with an odd array of people trying to fix what's been broken - including Commander Cullen, a man she can't seem to keep herself away from, as much as she'd like to.

Phoenix is in Kirkwall. More specifically in the infamous Gallows. But she's not a mage so she has nothing to fear. No, she's a Templar and she became one willingly. She's still a MGiT, yes, but she knows she must be careful when interacting with not only the other Templars but also with the Knight-Commander and with the heart-throb of a Knight-Captain named Cullen Rutherford. For the most part, Phoenix manages to stay out of trouble and even manages to prove her worth to the Order, however the is the matter of the dragon's egg she carries with her.
Cullen didn't think much about the newest Templar Recruit. She acted like most new recruits who had just watched their families be slaughtered by abominations. Under his guide as the Knight-Captain, Cullen watches as Phoenix learns the ropes of being a Templar. He even takes notice of how lightning fast she is with her daggers, yet he also can't help but notice that he is starting to feel an attraction to her that he shouldn't be feeling at all, not to mention the fact that he can't help but stare at her as he tries to figure out what it is about her that attracts him so.
What neither expected, however, was for Phoenix's dragon egg to hatch.

No, she is a Silver dragon who is unique even among her kind in the terms of both that she uses Frost and Fire instead of lightning breath attacks and that she has no rider, at least not until she is sent to a strange new world named Thedas. Knowing Thedas only from the official books, Fanfictions, and Video Games that her roommates used to play, Anne knows for a fact that her presence ALONE can change events if she is not careful. Yet she cannot just stay out of the fight, not when her heart is falling for a certain blonde haired Commander. That Commander? Commander Cullen Rutherford.
Cullen refuses to believe that Anne is a dragon until she reveals her true form, after which he tries and fails to deny the fact that being around her somehow eases the pain of his withdrawals nor can he deny that he enjoys watching her decimate their enemies with fire or frost. He wants to deny his growing feelings for her but his heart has other plans as it is also made known that he is her Rider.
