Summary
Loosely based on the TV show Lucifer wherein Lucifer is on Earth and he's been hired as the lead criminal investigator for homicide cases. He genuinely wants to know what's happened to the victims and serve out punishments to the ones who wronged them -- but he's also not afraid to inflict punishment himself if he thinks he can prevent crime or sees someone doing wrong. He still struggled with an identity crisis, having escaped hell and all, and is trying to find his place in the human world.
Queue Victoria, who is a young professional working in a scientific field. She's very confident in herself, but deep down is afraid of social interaction and getting along with others -- she "prefers," to be alone. However, she is also a very confident character and is self-assured, which contrasts with Lucifer's crises (because of course these come up). After meeting Lucifer she begins to wonder if she really prefers being alone, and of course her logical and analytical brain contradicts with his artsy one. They go on many adventures, solve many crimes, inflict lots of punishment, maybe fall in love or whatever and have very existential sex all while questioning what the hell is going on in this world and with themselves.

He’s aware that his close friendship with Ben affects Bodhi, but he can’t understand why.
POV 2: Ben is a senior tuba player who’s basically as normal as ‘normal’ can be. He’s well-liked, has lots of friends, but there’s always that one thing he just can’t have. He’s had feelings for his best friend, Banyan, but he just doesn’t believe that Banyan would ever reciprocate them, due to his obsession with being normal. Ben finds himself asking if he really knows who Banyan is. He’s left wondering if he’s misjudging their bond.

They are sitting on their heels facing each other on the bed. Emotions are free to be observed by each other, and Alhaitham is as always calm and collected. But there's a slight quirk at the corners of his lips that has never failed to slow Dottore's breath. The glimmers of fondness in Alhaitham's eyes are polluting Dottore's mind with too much hope, so Dottore resolutely looks past Alhaitham without averting his eyes.
Alhaitham lets out an amused exhale and tilts his head, the hair ornaments his roommate must have forced him to wear make a crisp sound, "Zandik… Doctor, my mate," Alhaitham notices with amusement how Dottore's wings are flapping excitedly behind him, "will you accept it if I said my reason was because I am as attached to you as you are to me?"
Dottore freezes. Then his wings are spread in happiness. He grabs Alhaitham's shoulders and pulls him into an embrace before falling backwards to the bed.
