Cordelia could sense the house didn't want her to enter, but the lack of welcome didn't deter her. It also wouldn't be able to stop her as whatever malevolent force awaiting inside was already occupied by something else. As her hand rested against the doorknob, the pain and desperation emanating from the house became almost crippling. She could tune into the loneliness, the isolation, and only hoped that she'd be able to help somehow. Perhaps offer a conciliatory compromise to whatever the force was trying to achieve.
