It's been six years since the last confirmed sighting of Spider-Man. At this point, everyone figures he's dead. But when a series of copycat Spideys show up in and around New York, the vigilante community has to reconsider the evidence, and figure out what the hell happened to one of their own.
As if that weren't enough, Deadpool arrives in New York as the newest (probationary) member of the Avengers, hate crimes against mutants are on the rise, and Aunt May's cooking has gotten even worse. Peter's life is falling apart before his eyes, and there's nothing he can do about it.
Nothing at all, that is, unless he can somehow allow himself to put aside his hard-earned apathy, and work with others once more.

Sometimes wearing nothing but the marks Wade had left on his body, other times clad in Wade’s favorite hoodie. He would find his alpha sitting at the kitchen table with a gun, staring at the front door to their apartment. His leg bouncing with anxious energy. Peter would slowly, carefully pull the gun from Wade’s grip, check the chamber, it was always loaded and Peter would always unload it silently, laying both the gun and the ammunition on the table top before climbing into Wade’s lap and hugging him fiercely.

Summary
When Tony Stark offers Peter Parker the opportunity to fight against some rogue Avengers on a tarmac in Germany, Peter knows his life is about to change.
What he does not know, however, are that the benefits of being an honorary Avenger only exist if you sign over all of your autonomy as an enhanced individual to the United Nations, and consequently, the government. What Peter thinks is a matter of debate turns out to be a dealbreaker that leads to a nationwide manhunt for a masked vigilante who refuses to comply to the Sokovia Accords.
Now, with the police, the Department of Damage Control, and Tony Stark himself attempting to capture and recruit Peter, he has to reevaluate what it means to trust someone, and if Iron Man really is the hero he takes him to be.
