Summary
The barrier was shattered and monsterkind finally got their freedom, but what of the humans that came before?
They deserve a happy ending too.
But with so little power left remaining after destroying the barrier, a half-measure would have to be taken.
Better than nothing, right? And for some of them, much more preferable to how they were before and certainly during their deaths.
The Sixth and final SOUL is the last to awaken, and by that point, things have been quiet in the Underground for quite a while.
But there is still one more thing to be done, one more person to save, and in many ways they're tied to that Sixth SOUL as well as the Underground's self proclaimed caretaker.
A second chance and a happier life awaits Clover and Kanako if they can just grasp it.

Now, the Angel walks amongst friends who swear that they will not be banished. Kris, Susie, and Ralsei mean everything to them. Maybe this time, their banishment doesn't have to be as set in stone as they thought.
The Roaring comes. The light falters. Everyone falls.
A desperate connection is established in an attempt to save what remains of the Angel. If they fall, all hope will be lost. Tenna stands at the mountain's edge, feeling the sun shine completely on his pale white body. He hasn't felt the sun rise in so long...it felt sublime...albeit subliminal. He didn't think he'll be able to see it until now. To have the rays glisten against his chitin like it did years ago.
However, looking at the body in his lower arms, he knew humans don't last that long...or the fact that his beloved mailman presumably went to look for him only to die alone somewhere...thinking about him. He was always so stubborn...so much of a justice-seeking daredevil that he'd persist when it wasn't necessary. If he'd tried, that amount of determination will melt him on the spot!
And now...what became of him as they both looked at the edge of the universe together.
As strong as the human soul is...he knew a reunion wouldn't work if they were both alive.
...But why must it hurt so bad?

After the barrier is broken, Tenna finds Spamton's body and buries it, waking the latter up.

Summary
(A neater, reheated iteration of a work I almost abandoned. Between the 10th Anniversary Undertale stream and Deltarune chapters, I found inspiration to return to it. We'll see how long that lasts.)
You have a new name after burning your old one, and the bridges that led to it. You simply go by Y now, and you are a financial advisor in what used to be a moderately busy tourist hotspot. West Ebbot and Greater Ebbot, a township and city within view of a grand lake and mountain, are husks of their former selves. You know better than to over-confidently think yourself an economic lynchpin, here at your humble banking job, but you do the best you can.
When the polluted lake gets cleaned up, it's too late for the tourism to return. Some years after though, something happens at the mountain that makes it the main attraction instead. The panic of pressure to preform is secondary to the relief of your assuredly continued usefulness, and therefore employment.
Money is necessary for goods and services. It's what society agreed to run on first and foremost, right?
Other sensations are luxuries.
