This story covers the period of time from when Magnus kidnaps Lestat, to the night Lestat, as a vampire watches Nicki through the window, outside his apartment, from the perspective of Nicolas de Lenfent.
Welcome to my first ever attempt at a fic. Sorry if it’s terrible! I know *I* despise it at the point of posting. It is set in book-Universe. In TV Universe, these events will take place at the height of The French Revolution. I wonder whether Nicolas will think Lestat has been snatched for the guillotine on TV?!
Please note, none of these characters are my creations, obviously. But here, they are my characters. I made myself laugh as Nicolas cries even more than Lestat. But I think he has reason! Also, I have included some direct quotes from The Vampire Lestat, particularly dialogue Lestat has already recounted from events when Nicolas was also there. May the Ghost of Anne Rice herself strike me down! If you never hear from me again, I imagine that will be what has happened…
