Cue Evie, who is smart and sweet and talented and seemed to like Chad for some reason, so maybe there was hope for him after all? He wasn’t sure, but he was willing to give it a shot for Evie.

It wasn’t that Gil necessarily wanted to travel Auradon without Harry and Uma, it was just that he hadn’t tested well enough to get into Auradon Prep. So he hit the road with Jay while trying to catch up on his schooling, except King Ben also wanted them to be ambassadors?
It was a lot, and Gil didn’t like being separated from his crew, but at least this new version of Jay was nice, and so were the rest of his friends for some reason. But hey, that was just Auradon, right? Obviously. There was no need to look into the non-stop video chats and surprise visits and overwhelming support when their adventures took an unexpected turn. That was just basic good-guy stuff. It was all fine.

The Blue Fairy - you know, the one who turned Pinocchio into a real boy and all that? - has recently returned her attention to the decisions of Auradon. She is upset with decisions already made and those that will be. So, she gathers up a group of Auradonian residents (mostly Royals) and some kids from the Isle of the Lost and comes up with a plan to hopefully circumvent such mistakes.
Or: I want more fics like these, especially those that actually get finished. So this is my contribution to society.

Chad just wanted to go to Ben’s graduation party. He didn’t need to get sidetracked by an Enchantress that felt like teaching him a lesson. Even exhibiting the utmost respect, he still got transformed into a cat with one goal – learn how to accept love and the spell would be broken.
Well, that should be easy-peasy, everyone loved cats, right? Right, so Chad just needed to get some cat-appreciation and bam, the spell would be broken and this would all be a funny story he and Audrey could laugh about in the future.
Except maybe things take a bit longer than expected. Which is less than ideal.

Summary
When Chad was shipped off to stay with Ben for the summer for nebulous bonding purposes, Chad thought great, at least he could get some reading done. Only it turned out that Ben was a hyperactive monkey who couldn’t sit still and let Chad read the beautiful bounty of books in Queen Belle’s library, so they made a deal.
It was a stupid deal.
But Ben was young and hormonal and wanted to practice kissing someone before he had to unleash his dumb self onto the princess populous of Auradon Prep, so through what could only be considered lunacy, he convinced Chad to play along with him. If they practiced kissing, Chad would get books.
There was no way this could possibly go wrong.

Chad just needed a performance credit to pass his dance class. The problem was he didn’t want to dance in front of people, so his teacher came up with a compromise: perform in the school’s production of Cats under a fake name and no one would know who he was. Great. Amazing. And then Ben had to start throwing around all this ‘mate’ business.
