I've never heard anything about any demons suddenly getting all clingy or needing constant affection before, but Nero's persistently hanging off of Kyrie and randomly rubbing my shoulders while I'm trying to work. He swears up and down that he's not in heat but that's the closest thing I can find that matches what's going on with him. My daddy's old notes don't have anything useful, so we're gonna have to ask the devil directly. But Nero's clueless, and his daddy and Dante still ain't back from hell, so I guess I'm just gonna have to get a bit creative with my sources. Good thing Lady gave me her number back at Red Grave.
I'm gonna laugh if he's in heat.

The story is told in first person, and I tried my best to replicate the language at the time as faithfully as possible. Summary
In 1996, The original physician Charles Mcnider has been dead for two years and Bludhaven just got their crimefighting vigilante Nightwing, Aureole City has a broken legal system that lets criminals walk on technicalities, an asian-american organized crime controlled underground, and an Angel Dust epidemic that's killing kids faster than the hospitals can save them.
The Question comes to Aureole after connecting the city through Hub city's drug pipeline. During the investigation he finds a broke and arrogant surgery resident passed out in a burning building that was a front for a pcp lab.
Vic Sage slowly starts to unspool the thread of the surgeons life through interrogation to find out the series events that led him there in the first place. Was the surgeon a dealer? A bystander? an unlucky result of chaos theory? Or was it a single cup of coffee?
The work is from the surgeons point of view and has a non linear structure which eventually converge at the climax. It will include police reports, medical records that you get to read along side Vic Sage to answer: Is Bowie really innocent?
