Which means that everyone's returned from the previous match. (For once, Mafioso was the one left out, and as far as John is aware, he'd taken the time to rest.)
... He looks out the open door towards C00lkidd. The kidd's been sat there ever since they all arrived, looking like a lost puppy. c00lkidd, startled by the touch, opens his eyes blearily. His mouth opens in shock or in daze, yellowed teeth still sharp but blunted somewhat. c00lkidd’s eyes fill with tears, and in a wail, he sits up to hug his dad. It feels wonderful. There’s no fire consuming him.
07 chokes on his own sobs, the corners of his mouth turning up into a small smile as tears fall onto c00lkidd’s face. Over c00lkidd’s crying, he mutters,
“It’s so nice to see ya, kid.”

And he was proven right when a red pill baby appeared at his doorstep, and suddenly, he didn't enjoying hacking like he used to. Why waste time making others suffer when he had a baby to tend to, right?
Or
C00lkidd suddenly appears in the survivors cabin, and 007n7 disappears (possibly) into the killer's cabin the round after. But he isn't the seven everyone knew anymore.
