From his throat to his stomach he’s taunt; he had never been more frightened in his life. He wakes with a start, his eyes groggy as he tries to adjust to the moonlit cottage around him. There’s a pounding on the door that sends him scrambling to his feet.
    “Just a minute!” He shouts, nearly tripping as he shoves his feet into house slippers. The knocks grow louder and as he opens the door, a toad’s fist collides with his groin.
